I?ve been waiting 5 years to come here, sadly I was disappointed. We came in and were told the only drinks were water and... unsweet tea. No explanation just those options. Others were offered bottled beer, we weren?t. I thought the zucchini stickswere good, my husband thought they were towards the burnt side and had too much breading. The portions were generous, my bunwas so soggy by the 2nd bite it fell apart and I had to ask for a 2nd bun and eat my sandwich with a knife and fork. My husbandordered the sausage, instead of being cut in coins like most bbq restaurants it was split and cooked. When he tried to cut intoit, it crumbled. The sauce was just ok. The fries were good. Overall very disappointing. I won?t be making the trip back toExcelsior Springs for BBQ. Read more

Service was prompt and the food was tasty. We had the sidecar chicken anfmd the pulled pork. The meat was well smoked,... everything but the vreast of the chicken was tender and juicy. The pulled pork had a little too much sauce in it, but stillgood. The beans are thick and flavorful, and the slaw went well with the pork. There BBQ sauce was a pretty standard sweet KCstyle, the spicy had a slight spice, I could have used more, but I found it better than the regular sauce. The potions for themeat and fries was filling, the other sides were a little small. I'd be willing to try them again and see how they do on someother meats. Read more

Delicious, the place is pretty neat. Has a outdoor area for live bands I thought was very cool, a couple different bbq sauces... and plenty of choices, definitely a must stop when going through excelsior springs Read more

Visited for the first time today. We waited an hour to get dinner. I was about to leave. It arrived hot at least , but the... brisket didn't taste like anything special. The ham was better tasting. The hot bbq sauce was good at least. Read more

Wabash BBQ is definitely on my list of places to stop when I?m in Excelsior Springs. I love the history behind it and the... vintage signs all around. But now to the good part, the food is great! I don?t know how they do it, but the BBQ nachos stayamazingly crisp until the end. The prices are also great - a Boulevard pitcher was only $10! The entire staff was reallyfriendly. The restrooms were clean. I also noticed while dining in that their to-go operation seemed very efficient. Read more

Great BBQ! We went here with family and had a great experience. I will say straight up; there was a sign on the door saying they... are short handed and we may have delays. We had a great meal anyway. The restaurant is small and extremely laidback. They arethere to serve great BBQ and provide impeccable service. Star, our server, was tremendous. We had 4 adults and 2 small childrenin our group. We easily sat at one of their large round tables, even with a high chair. We had fried pickles and Cajun wings tostart. The pickles were spears and breaded just right. The wings were breaded, fried and tossed in a very good hot sauce. Theywere very tasty, however I felt they did not really have a Cajun flavor and were more like a red hot Buffalo sauce. As a groupwe chose 2 orders of the Piggy Back Combo. These huge platters of meat consisted of smoked meats, including turkey, ham, beefbrisket, pork ribs and pork loin. All was very good and had nice smoky flavors. The sauce on the table worked well with all thedifferent meats. We honestly could have fed all four adults on one platter. We had 2 large boxes of takeout leftovers. We choseside dishes of fries, cole slaw and baked beans. The fries and beans were good, but the cole slaw lacked seasoning. Overall, yeah, we loved Wabash BBQ and would recommend it, but don?t go here expecting anything fancy: just good food, great service anddecent prices. Read more
