Service and ambiance were great, as were the cocktails! We had the Peking Duck tasting and while the first three courses were... really good the entree courses were all duck skin which was disappointing. Came here for dinner with a group reserved in a private room. We ordered Peking duck , lobsters , steamed fish , veggies , crabs... , oysters, scallops , clams and fried rice . It was nice quiet setting inside the private room and we have our host and servers. Pretty good services but the food was nowhere near Chinatown?s authenticity and flavors. I was very impressed with Tom Chang?s professionalism. He enjoys acting as a resource to me forareas in which he is considered experts. His professionalism and desire to get the job done right make him the kind of assetthat makes everyone around them better at what they do. I wholeheartedly would recommend Red 8. It is that good! I came here for one dish only - the Peking duck. It?s been hard to find one around Boston so I figured to give this spot a try.... An order of a whole Peking duck is $88, which is a little pricey but worth it. It came with wraps and two sauces to dip in. Theskin was very crispy and the meat was juicy and flavorful. One thing I didn?t like was how they stacked one layer of the duckunder the first layer (because the plate was small) and it made the skin of the duck underneath not crispy anymore. Theycould?ve used a bigger plate or separate to keep the skin crispy. Otherwise, it was delicious and worth trying if you?ve neverhad Peking duck before. Read more

Encore in Las Vegas so we had high expectations?And they were exceeded. I asked for a chicken pad Thai with a 8/10 spicelevel.THEY DELIVERED. It was the most wonderful, spicy, non greasy pad Thai I?ve ever had. Honestly, I ate way too much becauseit was so divine. My fiancé had the pineapple fried rice? it was gorgeous, and delicious. Ricky was our server and he wasextremely attentive, noticing when I was on the last sip of my glass of wine, checking in at the right moments. If you wantexceptional service ask to have him as your server. The manager stopped by to see how everything was, and made sure the pad Thaiwasn?t too spicy (you?ll see why when you see the photo)? we let him know it was PERFECT.
