I enjoyed eating here, I was glad I was told about it. Otherwise I probably would not have found it. It is located in an old... converted gas station. The food was good, looking at the menu I had a hard time choosing since I wanted to try a bunch ofdifferent items. I finally chose what they call the "Top Two", which is a combination of ribs and brisket. I really loved theribs, they were tender but not mushy. The brisket was good with the BBQ sauce, they had a choice of 3 types and I chise atraditional. Read more

It took 45 minutes to be seated, when the hostess advised it would be 25-30 minutes. Still, they were busy and that can be... forgiven. But then, once we were seated, we ordered immediately and waited an hour and fifteen minutes for our food, which wascold. They did serve some cornbread in the interim, but there is no excuse for taking that long to get food to the table. Thefood quality was good, but not excellent. If they could seat and serve people in a reasonable time period, this could be a goodrestaurant. The hostess and waiter were friendly, but I would not go here unless you have several hours to spend. If you haven't eaten at HQ on your way through Casper then you are definitely missing out. This place is best kept secret in... Casper. Right off of the highway in an old gas station, the BBQ is not a disappointment. Honestly some of the best BBQ you caneat. I had the Triple (ordered by accident) so it had ribs, pulled pork and a chicken leg quarter, macaroni and cheese and bakedbeans. Awesome! The staff was friendly, on top of everything as my drink never went empty and always talked with a smile ontheir face. Read more

Words cannot express the perfection of the barbecue dinner I just had at HQ Southern BBQ. Do not pass this place by. Different... location, a repurposed gas station that's easy to pass by if you're a newcomer. I had brisket, potato salad, barbecue beans.Every one of them was one of the best I've ever had and this comes from somebody who lived in the South for a fewyears. Service was friendly, efficient, and I will definitely be back when I'm in town. For those of you who live here: doyourself a favor and get in here and try this food! Best meal that I've had on this trip. I took a picture of my dinner afterI ate some of the meat already. I put my hand over the plate to give an idea of the gracious portion that I got. Read more

Cornbread was great! Mini loaf with nice crispy edges. Cole slaw was bland. I would try a different side next time. Pulled pork... sandwich was average, although the ability to try different sauces is a plus. Decent barbecue, but not great. Read more

Prime Rib night on Thursday is awesome. The prime rib was tender and flavorful. I ordered beef brisket, salad with zucchini... fries and shared half of the beef brisket for half of the prime rib with my friends. The beef brisket was good too, lots ofmeat on the plate. I could tell this is run or owned by a guy because it?s all about the meat. Sides are more of a have thembut they are not the center piece. Corn bread was average. Tried a rum and coke with local rum from Wyoming. Backwards rum.Was so good went across the street to the local liquor store and bought a bottle after we finished our dinner. Read more

The food was great. I have had a lot of bbq and this is the top of my list now. The ribs had that great pink smoke color you... want, the chicken fall right off the bone and the brisket was perfect. I enjoyed the zucchini which was fresh and hand made andthe baked beans were great. The only thing I did not like was the bbq sauce. It was too vinegary for me. But the meat was sogood I don?t need it. Read more
