Reviews for Pier 17 Cajun Seafood & Bar in Evansville, IN
We went on a Tuesday at 11:30 am. They were not busy. Our waitress was amazing. She kept our glasses filled. She was attentive.... We made our own boil with crab legs, scallops, and headless shrimp. The broccoli was a nice surprise and it was perfectlycooked. Read more
I've been here with my son and I've been here with my daughter. Had a good time both times. Both of my kids really enjoyed the... seafood boils in a bag. Read more
The food was alright. Oysters were fairly priced and of a decent quality. I ordered a lobster roll which actually neither looks... or tastes like any I've ever had. It was sad, colorless, and tasted like it was canned meat and not the lump claw meat istraditionally made from. The sauce was also rather bland. It's rather disappointing as this is one of my favorite meals. Thebest piece of food was actually my childs chicken tenders or the garlic bread with imitation crab baked in. The fries themselveshad a pretty good season on them as well. Unfortunately for a seafood restaurant, the seafood game seems to be lacking. I'llreturn again with the intention of trying one of the steam pots for a redemption. Read more
Love the kitschy seafood restaurant decor. As you walk up you are greeted by 2 giant crawfish outside, then Aquaman and Captain... Jack Sparrow greet you in the door. We had the fried calamari which was hot, crispy, and very good. The gumbo....do notrecommend. Very soupy and seems like no roux was use, almost gelatin in texture. Ick. Not a good gumbo for a restaurant thatsays "cajun" in the name. Service was great and attentive. For our grand feast we got the Seafood boat which feeds at least 4people. It was very good just make sure everything is on the boat that is listed on the menu. The kids had a blast eating offthe actual boat. Pricey but to be expected for seafood in Indiana. We splurged for 3 family birthdays and would definitely dothat again for special occasions or a group meal! *forgot to add, watch what you get in your order versus the menu, with theboat if we wouldn't have noticed our lobster tails weren't on it* Read more
Great decoration, loved being able to take ???? selfish with the sexy men inside. Haha!!! Waitress was very sweet and friendly,... knew the menu very well. Kept our drinks filled. Could not have asked for anything that she was not there with in seconds. Menuwas not overly impressive. But I am not sure what I expected either. It maybe a true coastal seafood menu. Had the combo B, Ido not like spicy foods. I have said it many times. So when asked what type of sauce I picked butter and garlic and extra mildspicy level. Not sure why people don't understand extra mild but they don't, even my husband who likes a bit of spice said itwas lighting him on fire. To me that means it was not even mild. So beware they have no idea what spice levels are at thisplace. Other than that the few pieces of seafood I was able to eat was excellent. The seafood bread was unique and awesome. Iwould eat here again just next time I would get the fried catfish. Read more

Being from Louisiana, I am VERY picky about my seafood. This place is the closest I've found to what tastes like home. The food... is always fresh, cooked perfectly, served fast, and well seasoned! I always get the crab legs, extra hot, with pier 17seasoning! Chanda and Kara are the best servers there and Jaime the manager is always real friendly. I've gone to two otherlocations in Louisville and I was highly disappointed. With the cities difference in size, Evansville showed them up big time. Read more
