I visited here while visiting several different breweries in Evanston. The beer here was definitely the worst of the places in... Evanston. Both Temperance and Double Clutch were much better. But the bartender was very nice and personable. That would havebeen a 3 star visit. But when I saw and heard that this place is raising money through beer sales for the deliberate murder ofchildren, I could not stay. This is abhorrent and disgusting and I'll have no part in this place or their beer ever again. Read more

Neighborhood place for sure. But both times I have gone, people are very welcoming and I’m able to join any conversation. I... like the atmosphere they create. I had the sour they had on tap which was pleasant. Called Catherine. It was lighter than a lotof sours I had which I appreciated. I was biking and it was the perfect start to the warm weather. 1. Great beer. I ordered a flight of beer, two of the four were seasonal (my choice), and I loved each one. The descriptions of... each on the menu were accurate, and I love the wide range of options. Not to mention, the names were interesting and cute! 2.Great service. While all the staff I interacted with were fabulous, Sheila made my visit. She was personable, helpful,knowledgeable — you name it. Sketchbook is lucky to have the energy she brings! 3. Great atmosphere. I love a brewery that is“hands off”. There is ample self-seating, as well as board games, you order from the bar and take it to your own table. Great beer selection, very eclectic place loved the atmosphere, a place to visit for sure

I went with a group for my friend’s birthday, and one of the cofounders gave us a tour. He was extremely knowledgeable on the... brewing process and dove into lots of details, but he was still quite personable and joked around with us a lot. All of thebeers we sampled were amazing!!! Always bustling. Small taproom but friendly people and staff make it work. Always a good selection of their regular all season... beers as well as seasonal offerings. Snacks available and they encourage you to BYOF and offer a BYOF lunch special withdiscounted beers. One of the best NEIPA's in the region (Insufficient Clearance). Ask about their CSB (Community Supported Bar)program for support and discounts on monthly growlers and CSB only events. Plenty of streetside parking and after 6pm andweekends it's FREE! Cheers!????
