This place is a hit or miss. Mostly miss. They never answer their phone. I called persistently for 30 mins and no answer. It's... like this all the time. The owner should really do something about this because I'm sure they loose a lot of business and a lotof money lost. But I dont think they care considering it's been like this for years. The food is either really good and tasty orreally bad, salty and overcooked. I love harolds and unfortunately this is the only one on the Northside, so it's a game of diceordering from there. Best bet is to physically go there and order, but expect to wait for a long period of time. Read more
I tired to place an order by telephone, after ordering, a gentleman transferred the call to another worker because I asked for... the total. I was quickly greeted with a woman on the other line, she had a uninviting tone, to be very honest she was very rudeand had no value for customers service. She was short temper and addressed me as if she was addressing a child. Unfortunately Icannot tell you how the food was because I canceled the order due to her rudeness. In the future I suggest customer servicetraining 101. I will not spend my money at a place who doesn’t value their customers. People are very quick to say supportblack owned businesses, this is why many of us chose to take our business elsewhere. Read more
Customer service is terrible, the cashier is super rude. She made rude comments as I left , surprised this person isn’t fired... just by looking at others experience. Food is good though just comes with attitude as a side . Read more
Probably the best chicken in the area. Chicken was juicy and perfectly seasoned and the fries were great. I can highly recommend... the mild sauce as it brings out a fantastic flavor and they pour it over the fries as well. Even with their increase in prices,I found it to be quite affordable and a good deal given how much food you get. Got high-quality fresh food in 20 minutes soservice quality was great. This place is terrible. I stopped going here before covid and, instead, started going out of my way to the Harold’s on Wilson.... After almost three years of not eating here, I was desperate and decided to grab dinner. It’s Not just the food (they’venever gotten my order right) but the staff, and primarily the owners/managers. First, the business indicates it closes at 7:30.On my recent visit They stopped taking walk-in orders at 6:45/7. That’s understandable if volume is high, however, They weredisgusting and rude about this to EACH customer that walked in. Folks walked in and greeted the woman behind the glass with asmile and she returned the nastiest replies. The son of the owner is disgusting and rude too. He was the primary reason Istopped eating here. He was verbally abusive to customers and staff. I witnessed him simply walk away from the cash registerleaving the cooks bewildered. The most depressing part of it all is that the Howard area community will accept this abusebecause of convenience. If you’re reading this and have the option of eating at another or location or having anything elsefor dinner then, please, go elsewhere. Read more
Ordered a large chicken gizzards and very disappointed with how they taste. I think they left it in the fryer too long. They are... very difficult to chew. Fries are great and the place looks very clean. South side Harold’s Chicken are better overall. Read more
The first impression of this chicken dump Is the strong smell of marijuana through the air as you walk into the restaurant.Then... you get greeted by a mean Surly womanWho is nasty with no customer service skills.
