Great little place with very good food. Ambiance is upscale casual. Portions are not huge but the food is quite good. Pricing is... a bit on the high side but sort of what you would expect for the area and the size of the restaurant which is somewhat small.Reservations are recommended. Pricing on the wine is a bit high and it adds to the overall cost of the meal. The appetizers wereall great and the mains were all above average. I would say average price for 2 with appetizer mains and dessert is likelybetween $125 and $150 with wine. I will return but likely special event dining for our budget. Read more

Might be the worst salad I have ever had. I literally spit out the tomatoes. They were spoiled. Threw the salad in the garbage.... The other dish was super salty and the flavors and textures didn't work for me. I lived and studied in Italy and while I don'texpect real Italian food in American restaurants, I do expect fresh healthy food. Isn't that the soul of Italian food? Ambienceis lovely. I would give it five stars for ambience. Good place for a drink. Read more

Second time here. Cozy, unpretentious but seriously good food. Every wine by the glass is super well selected, the food is truly... excellent and the service and especially the staff that clear plates, serve bread, make it a more delightful experience, areexcellent. Top place in Evanston! Read more

Great little Italian restaurant to tuck into. Both indoor and back patio dining is available. We sat at the back patio. Great... prompt service with good expertise. It’s a popular destination so make reservations. The highlight of the show was the scallopdish. If it’s on the menu and you like seafood don’t skip it! Great wine list. What impressed me more was how our waitresswas attuned and kind; my friend asked for an off the menu cocktail that’s diluted since she can’t drink much. It was metwith zero resistance; and delivered promptly. Now that’s customer centric hospitality. We had the arugula and beet salads -both perfect for summer and sharing. Portions are well sized for sharing, especially if you like to try more dishes. It isreasonably priced. Parking is easy but it’s street parking, we found a spot within 2 min walking distance. It’s located in agood safe area with other restaurants on same street. If you happen to be in Evanston or visiting definitely check this placeout, you will have a great dinner. Ok, now let’s mangia! Wonderful little Italian restaurant, not much to look at outside but the food is delicious. The short ribs were tender and the... polenta was soft and tasty. I would recommend this place and eat here again. White linen tablecloths, good cutlery etc. Read more

Ok.. I admit my pic game isn’t the best; however, I must say this was the best dinner I’ve had in a long long time!! I had... the beet salad as the starter and the roasted duck entreé with cherry sauce. 100% absolutely delicious!! Now, I was reallylooking forward to the sticky toffee pudding for dessert but it wasn’t available so I skipped dessert.. Congratulations tothe Chef! Read more
