Reviews for Banh Mi Dang in Evans, GA
Best Vietnamese restaurant in the area. Every dish I have tried is delicious, had great portion, and you get more bang for your... buck. I highly recommend the char siu bahn mi, fresh spring rolls, and the Dang special pho. The strawberry and avocado shakesare good til the last drop, especially on hot Augusta summer days. I definitely drop by here at least every other week. Read more
I have already visited this amazing vietnamese restaurant at least 10 times, and still haven't written a review. GO THERE FOR... THE FOOD. Must to try dishes: Pork BBQ sandwich (bahn mi), Avocado shake (If you love avocado, and it has condensed milk in itand so yummy). I always get Combo Eggroll and Grilled Pork with Rice Vermicelli, because it has little to no oil. Pho is on toptoo. Spring rolls with the peanut sauce are unstoppable to eat as well. I haven't tried every item on the menu, but I'm gettingthere. Do not go there for the service, go for the mouthwatering food! It is the best vietnamese place in CSRA area. Othercannot even compare. We buy like 4 sandwiches at once and other dishes to eat for couple days, because we live far away. Ihooked up all my friends. Read more

Excellent authentic Vietnamese foods. Their pho and sandwiches are excellent. Try some of their stir fried items, you will be... surprised. Their salads are as good as anywhere I?ve eaten - fresh, flavorful, fresh herbs. Be patience, it?s a small familyoperated business. Foods are prepared when ordered. Update: crispy pan fried noodle so good. Savory crispy pancakeexcellent. Crab noodle soup one of their best dishes. Rice noodle soup with pork, squid, & shrimp very good (hu tieu NamVang). Read more
Exceptional little gem of a restaurant in Evans on Washington Rd. Located just next to Batteries Plus. We ordered spring rolls... with the addition of barbecued pork and was excellent and served with a nice amount of a delicious dipping sauce. We followedwith the brisket and fillet mignon pho. Served with nice fresh herbs and sauces to add a kick if desired. We also had the beefwith crispy egg noodles. Very flavorful with baby bok choy. The crispy noodles get softer in the sauce. Terrific service. Ithink they really might be the BEST Vietnamese food in town. Highly recommend. We have also ordered from them a few times onAugusta to Go and orders were correct and delicious. Highly recommend. Read more
You've made it. You have found the promised land of the perfect banh mi. The bread is EXCEPTIONAL. Ive sampled all the major... banh mi shops in Georgia, Texas, and California, and this bread quality is top tier. The filling is fantastic and the price isfar lower than up north Georgia (Duluth). Value to quality, it is a gem. The pho ap chao is a crispy flattened rice noodle as abase and a seafood stir fried assortment on top. You can liken it to a pizza of sorts. The crispy base acts as the perfectpairing for the 'filling' on top. The thinly sliced carrots match the mouth feel of the other vegetables which is awesomebecause I hate carrots and it makes the eating experience that much better. Beef pho: the broth is full of flavor, the phonoodles have the right bite and the beef is sliced at the right thinness. If you were to choose a classic pho taste that everyVietnamese person would agree to, it is this. Cracked rice with pork chop: it's huge. You can eat this over two meals. The porkchop is very tender and excellently marinated. The crispy fried egg is awesome sitting on top of the cracked rice. *Historylesson* this dish was popular among lower income vietnamese farmers. The 'cracked rice' being part of the dish was because ricefarmers could not sell cracked/split rice grains to customers, whom demanded the higher quality, unsplit rice. Very very welldone and plated, the care is apparent. Dessert: the flan is in the french style and is at the perfect sweetness that lends toeating more and more. It is balanced in creaminess along with the level of firmness in bite. The yogurt is also a classic flavorthat all Vietnamese people grew up with and loved. There is a lot in the cup, sharing is caring. There is no "catered tolocalized taste" here. If you came here for the 100% authentic, full flavored experience, Banh Mi Dang delivers it in spades. Upin the Duluth area, I would say the dishes are of a slap-dash style, while at Banh Mi Dang, there exists a l Read more

If you compare the price and atmosphere to PhoBac, then they are spot on. It doesn't necessarily seem like a full service... restaurant when you walk in. It has the fast food counter, but if you are planning on staying, then they ask you to sit. Thefood is good, and I assume they are known for their sandwiches because everyone in the dining room had sandwiches. I orderedthe chicken sandwich. Read more
