Even though the deck was closed, the wait staff kindly let me sit on it with my dog so that I could have dinner and a beer.... Enjoyed a half-dozen barbecued oysters (two ways) and a crab sandwich. Good food and very friendly wait staff. Recommended. Read more
Wandered in on a nondescript March weekday eve. Last late customers finishing up but I was warmly greeted. Rock cod with lemon &... capers was the special and what a deal! Quickly served, hot and delicious. The fish was honestly some of the best I?ve ever had? ? flaky, fresh, moist and full of flavor. The sauce perfect but not drowning the taste of the cod. Steamed broccoli was hotand...steaming. Firm and flavorful, it seemed picked that afternoon. Delicious rice pilaf just the right texture to collect thesauce. Rest of the menu looked good. Came here for some fresh seafood, and while we found it... it wasn?t well executed. My started soup had a pile of raw mushrooms... in it, and my crab came with luke warm butter (it wasn?t even properly melted in the bowl when it arrived). It also had thisvery odd ginger sauce that just... didn?t really belong. I did ask for a warmer butter and while it did improve after itarrived, it still didn?t have any garlic. My boyfriend has the halibut and chips and his only complaint was that the potatoesweren?t cooked (hard in the middle). The fish was good though. Waitress was super friendly and attentive. Sadly though, we weretold the ?daily? happy hour wasn?t available on the weekend (by the hostess), even though everyone else was offered it after thewaitress arrived. . This place was really good. We went an hour before closing but just missed a huge rush. The staff all seemed to be busy, no... slackers. The staff was friendly and the food was great. I'm not one for crab cakes but the ones here were awesome. I recommendthis place is you want good sea food. Read more
