I am the caregiver for a "regular " at the River Rd Shari's. This sweet lady hasn't been able to get out and about until... recently, after a six month long illness. When she went back for the first time (and each time since), the staff were genuinelyhappy to see her return, with hugs and smiles...very nice to see the compassion and love expressed, and Very much appreciated byus both. We had a really wonderful dinner at Shari's on River rd Eugene Oregon. The Atlantic Salmon was absolutely delicious, along with... the vegetables, and rice!! Perfect size portions!! The restaurant was clean, and the staff so, so friendly. We will definitelybe back!! Read more
As you can see that one of two Marion berry slice's of pie is no bigger than my salad fork. $8.00! Could have got a frozen one... at Albertsons for the same price. Plus you don't have to tip the cashier that rang you up. Read more

Shari's is a 24 hour joint again, so 3 stars, but it's gone so far down hill, from even 10 years ago. The Chicken Fried Steak... has been reduced in quality, so many times over the years, that the dinner featuring it is meager, while still containing 2seperate patties, while the old ones had only 1 patty, that had far superior taste and texture. Most menu items are similarlylacking compared to the Shari's of a decade ago, aside from the most basic items, like steamed vegetables, or toast. Shari'sused to be a place I wanted to go, to eat good breakfast food, which had above average dinner options if I was so persuaded.Now, Shari's is a place I go to because it's easy to tell someone how to get to it, and it's almost certainly open, if no whereelse is. Shari's has been one of our favorite restaurants for years. We enjoy the wait staff too. The location we visit the most is... Santa Clara. Recently I stopped for lunch in south Salem. I have noticed that "impossible burgers are available. Buy I we havenever ordered them. I much prefer real meat. Read more
Ordered food to go after work and I sat on the waiting bench and had a perfect view of the cook making my food and touching the... raw bacon and putting it on the griddle with his BARE hands and then touching his hat and face and continued to cook the rest ofmy food, again with no gloves. Disgusting. When I asked the waitress who then brought my food to me if it was a requirement thatthey wear gloves she said that he should and she would say something to him, but she was unsure what to do. He obviously heardme talking about him because he comes over to where I can see him again and puts on his gloves. Read more
