Reviews for Mazzi's in Eugene, OR
I'm an out-of-state visitor so this was a very nice local restaurant to visit. Food was very good and made us feel valued as a... customer. Had to wait on a few drink refills but probably due to us being a large group placed in a separate room. Other thanthat servers were very professional and polite. Read more
Disappointing. Arrived at 6:40 for a 6:45 reservation that somehow did not make it into the book (might've been my fault). They... were very busy but managed to seat us at 7. The server was right there, and we ordered by 7:15. We finally got our meals at9:03. At least two other parties that were seated after us were served, paid their bills, and left before our food even arrived. My entree was decent, my wife's was okay at best. Her chicken was dry and burnt, the sauce tasted like it was from a jar. Thesalad was excellent. The server (I think her name was Danielle) was great, and is the reason for the second star. She wasprofessional, kept her sense of humor, and tried her best to accommodate us. I remember when Mazzi's opened. I ate theregrowing up, and often throughout my times in Eugene. This was not the quality Mazzi's is known for. Read more
It was very loud inside. I know people want to have a good time, but they should be respectful of their noise level. There was... a huge party that was waiting to be seated and they stood at the door yelling, laughing, and playing around. College studentsyes, but they should be respectful. We couldn't hear ourselves think it was so loud. It made it difficult to enjoy our mealand company. The server got stuck with this huge crowd and we were great full for the other servers that helped him out to helpus since the other people took up all his time. The food is great as always. But disappointed they got rid of their Tuscanchicken. Read more
I haven’t been to very many places in Eugene that I would consider “fine dining” but this place is definitely one to check... out if you want that type of experience. The decor isn’t anything to be impressed by but still looks nice and comfortable. Youget decent portions of your food for the price. It’s a bit heavy on the wallet but for good reason because their food is topquality. Read more
It was Saturday Eve and busy, so we sat at the bar and ordered a couple of drinks until our table for two was ready. The 25 or... so minutes went by quickly and our food was delicious! We ordered the Bruschetta and an individual pesto chicken and artichokepizza ( mmmm!) And shared an order of the Cannelloni. They also served is some of the best rolls I've had in a long time! AndI love bread, so that's saying something. Enjoy your visit! Read more
The braised short ribs in a wine sauce was so... good, very tender and falls apart, yet you need a knife to cut fingerling... potatoes. They should be where you can mash them with a fork. The buttermilk pesto dressing was really good. The only thingwrong was the waitress kept taking a long time to come around and had to wait when we had a reservation. Read more
Pretty yum---I went here with a few friends and the food was great. I do recommend making a reservation if you can, it seemed... pretty packed when we arrived later in the day and I'm glad we had one. My rigatoni with beef and pork sauce was tasty---maybenot the best I've ever had, but pretty good. The standout of my meal was the green salad with pesto sauce... specifically, thepesto sauce was quite delicious. Service was prompt and friendly; will likely end up coming back here sometime. I guess a Caesar salad is just romaine lettuce? We ordered two Caesar salads (one small and one large) and garlic bread. The... Caesar salads were just romaine lettuce with no parmesan or croutons, while I normally wouldn’t care we spent $41 on thismeal. To top it off, the lettuce was wilted and the dressing was runny. The garlic bread was good and that was the only savinggrace of my order. Read more
