I read two of the bad reviews before I got here and was curious about the validity of them. Here is what I found. This... restaurant is truly a mom and pop shop, there are two lovely people both attending and cooking for the whole restaurant. I didfind I waited a little longer than usual for service but I also know I am a full grown adult capable of practicing patience andcompassion. It was well rewarded at the end as the food was delicious! The chicken was super crispy! The rolls was even betterthan the description and the miso soup was warm and cozy. Nice little place with AMAZING sushi. Started with the miso and the broth is full of flavor, was delicious. I then had the... Jinsei Combo #2, mine came out with 3 pieces of sashimi of tuna, yellowtail, red snapper, and salmon. WOW! The sushi is sofresh and texturally it?s everything you want. Just enough firmness but also super tender and melt in your mouth deliciousness.I also ordered the lemon roll and was surprised at how much I enjoyed the combo of the spicy tuna, the lemon, and wasabi. This place is one of my favorite place to have great quality of food in Eugene. It?s a block away from the campus, friendly... atmosphere and staff. Food quality is very good. Come eat here with playful reverence for modern-traditional Izakaya done so well that it becomes easy, affordable, nom art.... There are a ton of places with great food here. This is one worth any distance walked, biked or other. Great for solo diningand all your first dates with its casual clean space with traditional and Star Wars noren. Vibe is happy, grateful, cozy,stylish, comfortable. Everything FELT so good to eat. Our new most favorite. We were so into the experience, we forgot ourresponsibility to social media pre-photos. Awesome Japanese restaurant. It is not really an Izakaya, but it has a lot of choices. The food was perfect. Noodle soup is... hot and tasty, sushi is well made and the appetizer is so big. Read more

The place was really cute and the food especially the salmon poke and spicy salmon roll was literally so amazing and big... portions for the insanely cheap price in my opinion. Everything was so fresh and the presentation was done so well. My friendgot the teriyaki bento box and she said it was delicious and she got a small portion and it was still really huge. The onlyreason I didn?t give it a 5 star was because it was a little confusing walking in, I don?t know if the waitress treated usdifferently cause we were students but it didn?t really feel welcoming, but they probably had a bad day or something.
