The food was so amazing! The plantains were a yummy sweet side to the spicy bite of the jerk chicken. Their house Irieaide was... really nice and cooling from the heat of the curry chicken as well. Their Mac and cheese was hearty and the mange hot sauce wasso good! I will be visiting often! Read more

After seeing the viral video on IG, we decided to take the 45 min drive to try them out. It was after we got off work, around... 7pm (they close at 8), and they were sold out of everything we wanted. We laughed it off and agreed that everyone saw the samevideo and said we would come back earlier next time. 3 days later, we went back as soon as they opened, and we're excited to geteverything we couldn't get before. The oxtails weren't ready and wouldn't be for another hour. This was disappointing, but I goteverything else I wanted. Even though we made it clear that it was our first time, they never offered any introduction, popularitems or additional service in assisting us with making choices. With all that being said, here is my honest opinion of the foodwe got- curry chicken, jerk chicken, pineapple coleslaw, cabbage, plantains, rice and the strawberry lemonade. While it wasgood, it wasn't worth the 45 min drive. I can think of 2 Jamaican restaurants that we passed on the way there that serve bettercurry chicken and provide better service. I was super excited about the pineapple coleslaw, but it was not at all what I wasexpecting. I mean, there was a hint of pineapple, but it was basic coleslaw. The plantains were perfect! The rice was rice, samefor the cabbage. Nothing to rave about. The lemonade was ok, but again, I've had better. If you made it this far, I'm going toassume you live a ways away and need to research before making the drive. Save this restaurant for when you happen to be in thearea. Go to your regular Jamaican spots, I'm sure you'll like that more. Read more
