Reviews for The Monk's Kettle in Etobicoke, ON
First time visiting and I had great time! There were live music and Eddy Currents was awesome. I just visited Ireland couple... weeks ago and the vibe felt the same or (better!) in this cozy atmosphere. I think I drank more here than the whole trip fromIreland. (I don't drink usually) ???????? This is one of my go to spots to enjoy an array of craft beers and freshly cooked meals. Wonderful staff and owners!!
I have had better service is lesser known restaurants. The atmosphere is stale, the staff seems underpaid and pretty low on... morale. They were unsuccessful in showing any interest in client satisfaction. I should have asked for their names! Never seenthis kind of contempt and disdain for a paying customer in decades of visiting restaurants. They seem to have a dedicatedclient following and sound quite content with it. It just does not sound like they are interested in any new clients. If youare new to the area and looking for a pleasant evening food and relaxed eating this is a place you would never go to! They arecurrently serving callousness to new clients to their place on Bloor St. I ordered food, paid the bill & left without eatingthe food!! Too stale a atmosphere to sit and eat! Could have used that money for some charity instead!! Read more
Staff were nice and apologetic about the long wait. They didn't have many people working. The food was okay, though maybe a bit... greasy because I did have an upset stomach after leaving. Pretty typical pub grub, nothing special. Portions were good. Wishthey'd refill your hot water when you order tea. Little teapots are cute. Read more
Great little local haunt. Their house beer is decent and their food is next level good! I got their garpar fries and some... wings, both amazing. Great for a date, casual dinner and drinks! Read more
Had a wonderful time at the Monk's Kettle! The staff are very friendly and very accommodating, they check up on you often, but... not too much as to be a bother. It felt very comfortable being in the environment as they treat everybody that walks in like afriend. Even the other patrons at the location were of good spirit and we're happy to open their conversations up to peoplearound them to join in. So it definitely felt very welcoming to be there! The food was enjoyable and didn't take a long time tomake it to me after I ordered it. There is also a good selection of alcohol as well as some local craft beers and good stuff ontap as well! In terms of bars/pubs the Monk's Kettle is a more quiet location, at least it was when I was there, though it wasa nice atmosphere because it was a bit of a more cozy and quiet place to enjoy some music and a bit of a drink! Enjoy and ofcourse be safe with alcohol! Read more
Don't let the look of the place fool you, a burger with fries and a beer on the patio here will make your week, if not your... month. This place has one of the best burgers I'd eaten in years (the first burger on the menu), and my wife's tuna tartare wasalso outstanding. The food and drinks here are well priced (rather cheap, actually, for the quality of the food), and the waiterwas friendly and professional. I couldn't recomend this place any more highly, and I can't wait to return some time soon andtry something different. 5 stars is the lowest rating that I can provide The Monk's Kettle. Read more
Another Etobicoke local gem, quality food and amazing beers. My favorito was the dark lager!! Not a lot of space though but... worth it to get some drinks and quality food. Read more
