First week in Toronto and for dinner i decided to go to Prince Japanese Restaurant. I read the reviews which gave this place a... 4.5 stars so I felt confident that it was worth going. I was seated right away even though it was very busy. The owner who was avery nice gentleman sat me in a small room. The restaurant was very clean and inviting and the staff was very friendly andknowledgeable. The waitress took my order of chicken teriyaki, miso soup and salad. The meal was very good and I really enjoyedthe miso soup. The chicken, although I did like it was dark meat and very fatty which I am not a fan of. I like white meatchicken as it is not fatty and has a better taste. Overall I really enjoyed Prince Japanese Restaurant and I highly recommendit!!! I have eaten there 3 more times since. If you are in Toronto area and like Japanese food I think you would really enjoyit. Read more

This place is pretty good. Food is decent and filling. If you sit at the Teppanyaki tables, they cook the food right in front of... you. They put on a whole show, flipping knives and mixing oil and water on the grill to cause a big flame. Although the food isgood and the service is nice, the place looks pretty beat up. And there were flies everywhere. The price was right though. $44for lunch and drinks for two people wasn't bad. Read more

Came here for dinner for the first time today. I really wanted to rate this place 5 stars because our service from Danny was 5... stars as well as our food; however we had booked our reservation for 8:15 and had to wait a while to sit down. It was justmyself and my husband and we had to wait 20 minutes to sit down at the teppan table and wait for a party to leave. I realizedthe larger parties booked for 8:15 were seated way before us and we arrived there at 8:10pm. The waiting had us thinking why theother people sat before us when we had arrived before them and when we asked Ken he had said he squeezed us in for 8:15 butdidn?t mention that he was squeezing us in over the phone. I wished he told us earlier so that we could?ve placed ourreservation for 8:45 instead because we waited until then anyways. Danny apologizes for the wait when we sat down. Everyonethere seems really friendly, it was just the waiting period for us. Maybe next time we will come in earlier? Otherwise thisplace is a 5 star. I would definitely come back and eat here again. We came here for the first time to celebrate my husband's birthday with friends. The atmosphere was amazing and food was very... good quality! What impressed me the most was how friendly and attentive the servers, chef, and owner were. I would highlyrecommend this place for their teppanyaki experience.
