Reviews for Bengali Sweets & Restaurant in Etobicoke, ON
The deserts are very good! Kinda expensive ???? but everything is expensive now a days. Service is normal not bad. I didn't seat... to dine in and I don't wish to, it looks unclean and uninviting, I always take out. Overall 3 out of 5 is like average. Read more
Ordered halwa puri and it was absolutely horrendous, the aloo and channa were soo watery and on top of that we told them to put... the halwa in a separate container but they didn't and since they didn't do it by the time I got home I had spicy halwa becauseit was mixed with the aloo and channa, absolutely disgusting. Probably the last time I'm going here soo disgusting Read more

Firstly, i would have gladly given four stars. If. As it is, the Bengali Sweets & Restaurant have earned my 3-star rating for... the consistency of their food and their lengthy menu. It is a 100% pure vegetarian restaurant and if you love the Indian-stylecooking of spicy veggie dishes, you will not be disappointed. You can always count on most food items including their AlooParatha being freshly baked and quite tasty but you can also try their bathura or puri together with one of their many veggiedishes like the appealing Aloo Gobi. One of my favorite choices is their delicious Chana Bathura which is a daily special, priced at only $4.50. Other daily specials include the Halwa Puri at $6.50 which makes it worthwhile visiting this restaurant ona Sunday with your family. Samosas are always readily available, hand-made as opposed to Samosa Sweet Factory's automatedproduction for which I really do not care for, however popular they are with Caucasian folks. I enjoy a good old fashionedsamosa which has a bite to it. Now for the best part of what Bengali offers...their extensive selection of sweets! From varioustypes of Burfi and Ladoo to Peda, their sweets are simply mouth-watering. I often opt for the Besan Ladoo, Kaala Gulab Jamun andJalebi which are always made fresh on the premises. Sadly they do not offer the Patisa which is one of my fav Indian sweet butno worries, I always buy my Patisa at the Samosa Sweet Factory since they too have a large menu of sweets available atreasonable prices. The sweets however at Bengali are a little on the expensive side which is the reason I did not feel itjustifiable to give them a 4-star rating. Read more
Unhygienic conditions. I saw flies in the place resting joyfully on the open food counters. Food here is kept open and the rude... young lady at the counter touches it without washing hands or gloves. Actually confused at deciding which is worse, the food orthe woman who serves it. I refrain from giving negative reviews but this one had to be conveyed. The lady working there behavesas if she wants you out of the shop as soon as possible. Edit: The audacity of your response goes on to show how little youcare for your customers' health or feedback. I had read your responses to other reviews and this was expected. Next time I shallupload video as well. Read more
Always a great experience. Best bengali style rasgulla (so spongy). Chhole bhature, kulcha & paratha are fresh, edible and made... to order. Read more
