Great restaurant, very busy at night. Short rib sliders and the potato croquette are good start ups. There is poultry bone broth... which is pretty health option. I really liked the Mountain Jim Burguer. You can eat at the bar if there is no other space. Theircarnivore dish is very well known. The atmosphere is great, pretty relaxing. Read more
Located just outside entrance and Beaver Meadows Visitor Center of Rocky Mountain National Park, Bird & Jim offer a beautiful... respite after a long day of hiking. We sat on the porch where it was breezy and cool with an incredible view of Twin Sistersmountain and the Crags. I had the Mountain Jim Burger plus egg, and it was perfect! It was much better than the other burger Ihad at a different “burger joint” in town. This one hit! Highly recommended! Read more
Absolutely a great surprise. Everything is well prepared with lots of thoughts. I feel nothing we had here can be found... elsewhere. In a tourist area honestly I wasn’t expecting much but Bird & Jim definitely exceeded my expectations from everysingle perspective. A great lunch experience after stopping in the national park. All of the service was great but especially the employee who took... the extra time to spend a few minutes talking to my four year old daughter. We enjoyed sitting on a couch in the lounge area forour meal. I asked for a recommendation on which burger to get and the Buffalo burger didn't disappoint. My side garden salad wasalso huge! The kids menu had some good options but could use additional drink options like apple juice or chocolate milk! Read more
Came down to Estes from Denver for a day and decided to stop by here and it was an awesome day. Food was phenomenal. Had only... starters and drinks but I heard that the entrees are pretty good. Please try the Carnivore dish. I heard it was very delicious.Didn’t try it but I wanted too but wasn’t that hungry. Hospitality was great. Bar tender did an amazing job. Waited for youto decide what you wanted to order and came back to ask you. Overall everything was excellent. I would come back and try thatdish I didn’t had time to try. Recommend to anyone go stops in Estes for a day or two. Read more
Wonderful surprise in a place like this. I had the elk, lamb and bbq flank and it was awesome. Paired with garlic broccoli and... potatoes. All was so obvious homemade and so well prepared! Well done America, what a nice change from the processedindustry. The missus had the buffalo burger which was delicious. We shared a chocolate cake for dessert and this was not worththe calories. But that’s not gonna change our experience from Bird and Jim’s, 5 stars. Read more
Outstanding food & service! This restaurant far surpassed my expectations, and was likely the best customer service experience... I have ever received at a restaurant. We visited a couple of weeks ago during spring break and had a large party of 4 adultsand 8 kids, and we were looking to enjoy a high quality experience somewhere in Estes Park for our final night in town. Bird &Jim delivered. The service: The excellent customer service began before we even arrived at the restaurant! We called ahead tomake a reservation and double check that it was ok to bring a large group, including children. Not only were they good with usbringing our brood, but they also called us back 20 minutes later to ask if they could have lemonades and appetizers ready forus when we arrived. What?! The world class customer service continued at the restaurant with a very warm welcome by the frontdesk hostess, and continued on as we were seated. Everything was ready for us including appetizers, drinks, coloring kits forthe kids, etc. Our waitress, Sarah, was outstanding the entire time and walked us through the menu and made suggestions. Shealways seemed to be a step ahead of what we needed at every turn. She went above and beyond consistently, even figuring outwhat the brand name of the ketchup was that the kids had with their food and writing it down on a piece of paper for us. Therewas even one point when our baby was starting to fuss and she offered to hold him! Not sure what more you could ask for inabove and beyond service, TBH. The Food: The food was so good and unique! The food itself was of high quality and the flavorswere unlike any other that I had experienced. Everything from the pork belly appetizer and homemade chips and dip, to the kids'chicken tenders, to the carnivore plate was just outstanding. Couldn't have asked for a more pleasing experience, and I highlyrecommend this place. I bet the patio in the summer time is awesome! Read more
Very beautiful restaurant to enjoy lunch or dinner. The location is prime and the ambience in the restaurant is very calming and... social. We enjoyed some happy hour specials and decided to share all our dishes. The lamb had a wonderful sweet glaze toaccompany it.
