I waited a few minutes to be waited on, but that could have been my fault for going to the wrong counter. The food at Ray's is... always reliable. They take pride in what they do and they do it well. I got fried clams and fries, it came with a wonderfullysoft dinner roll and cole slaw. I also got the New England clam chowder which was bagged separately and put in the bag with myclams. Best clam strips in VT hands down.! Fries are blanched, but they need to be fried to a golden brown crispy texture on a second... fry. Instead, order their awesome baked wedges. Wedges are almost four bucks for six though. I only eat two to three becausethey're huge. Six is the smallest order you can get. A Small clam strip, wedges, and fountain soda is over 17$ to 18$ . Placeopens at 10:30, and the last two times I went, the potato wedges ( logs ) and baked potatoes were still not available by 11:30.The clam strips though...awesome. Read more

Cashier needs to smile more. Food was ok

The staff was very friendly, and the restaurant looked pretty clean. I can only comment on what I ordered, which was Fish N'... Chips. This was a bunch of extremely greasy and heavily battered cod offcuts served with a box of fries and a small containerof coleslaw. The cod looked undercooked as well, as it was translucent in places. Today I went in with a really long list of my allergies , all four of the staff met together and made an amazing allergy free... meal which isn't an easy task. The staff also checked in with us at the end of our meal to make sure"our bellies were full". Itwas a great experience, my husband and I will definitely eat there again soon. Read more
