We used the Izaak Walton purely for dining as we stayed at Stanton inn. The service is very good. One of the nights, we came... back late from the park and the staff had just closed the kitchen, but they had the soup that they packed for us. The food here was amazing!!! The location is very cool and if the rooms are anything like the building it was full of nostalgia... and interesting information. Service was equally awesome very kind and gracious. Will go back for sure. Would love to stay hereand explore the area. Read more
This place is beautiful, sat outside with your friends while enjoying your dinner and watching the train goes by, I used to wave... at them, the receptionist told us that they were also wave us back and it was fun. I miss my southeast Asian friends, I miss thebilliard in the first ground and the piano which my Singaporean friend used to play Canon instrument, it was so good. I wasimpressed with the notes in the toilet of the hotel, it describe how the importance of the environment. I wish I would be ableto go back but with these friends, Thanks a lot for the services and accommodation. Read more
This was hands down the best hotel experience! We stayed at one of the cabooses they offer and really liked it. Beautiful forest... and scenery. Staff was very friendly and treated us like family. Their restaurant had awesome breakfast ( not included with roombut great food and fairly priced ) I would definitely return and encourage travelers not to miss this experience. Read more
Do yourself a favor and come stay at the Izaak Walton Inn. My only complaint is with myself that I only booked one night. This... is a wonderfully rustic yet clean and beautiful inn in the middle of the mountains just outside glacier National Park. The staffis friendly, informative, and professional. The standard rooms are rustic, a bit small, but not too small. If you are a trainfan, like my husband, then this place is a must. Their restaurant is quality, excellent food - think Food Channel. Beautiful location with close hiking trails. Good food, good service, and our only minor complaint was that there was no... elevator to the third (or any) floor for my elderly father. In general not very handicap-accessible, but otherwise very nice fortrain and nature lovers. If you're a light sleeper and think nighttime trains would be a problem, that's something to take intoaccount. Read more
