This place has changed. Used to be the best fried seafood, went to today and four of us were disappointed with food quality. ... Ordering was a breeze, the menu was not complicated. Staff are pros at taking your food orders. Get the seafood platter swap out... the fries for a double order of onion rings I skipped the haddock because I wanted all the room for the meaty claims. This wasmy cousin Jon R's go to spot and now it's mine too. The food was so tasty, not greasy, not over seasoned....just perfect. Read more
A very pleasant surprise on a Sunday night. I ended up here after two other local seafood houses had massive waits, no line... here! The location is nondescript albeit new and clean. The fried seafood platter was massive and not in the least bit greasy.The clams were among the best I've sampled in New England and the scallops, haddock, and shrimp were all fresh and flavorful.Excellent place! The sea food is good but I would say it is on par with most places. I ordered the fried clams meal and thought the ratio of... clams to onion strings and fries was a little heavier on the fry and string side compared to other places. Wife got the lobsterroll which she said was good but nothing that fantastic. Good food but not extraordinary. I recommend but high prices. Read more
I ordered the Fisherman (Seafood) Plate. The price was a little hefty 38.99, no local clams due to Red Tide in the area, the... ones served were from Maine and were delicious and safe to eat. The food was fantastic and well worth the price. There was somuch food on this plate. It was loaded with clams, scallops, shrimp, haddock, fries and onion rings. Everything was perfectlycooked and was piping hot when we got it. I would suggest sharing a plate because I had a lot leftover. The staff was very niceand the building was very clean. I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for some amazing New England Seafood butdo not want to wait in the long lines of other more well known establishments. Ate here while on vacation in the area15 years ago with my then girlfriend and it was AMAZING. We made it a point to stop here... on our way back home from vacation to see if it was as good as we remembered and it definitely lived up to the memory. Greatatmosphere, good chowder and HUGE portions! Definitely worth the visit. Read more
