No question the bagels are good so this review is about an order for delivery. I will no longer be ordering here again. I... ordered an ?everything bagel? with avocado and half a dozen bagels. When the order arrived I was totally disappointed with thebagel with avocado. It looked like someone had thrown it together and with minimal avocado. The half dozen bagels were allbagged together so the everything bagels made the other bagels taste like ?everything.? I use to get bagels at this location allthe time when Victor was the owner. My partner and I love a good bagel place, so we were really disappointed when this place didn?t amaze us? we went on a Monday... morning so it was quiet but there wasn?t much selection, despite it being early. The bagels were also pretty pricey compared toother bagel shops we frequent, and the quality unfortunately did not match the price. I?m always willing to pay more for highquality, but this wasn?t it. The service was also slow and disorganized, which was odd considering we were the only ones therebesides another couple. Food was decent, but not good enough for the price. Very expensive! I added avocado to my tuna salad sandwich and it was $2!! I... think avocados are $1.50 each at Vons. It was just a few small slices of an avocado. The tuna sandwich was an absolute mess. Myson had an egg and cheese bagel with bacon, sausage and ham. They gave him a side of cream cheese in a cup, but it was too coldto spread. It should have been put on the toasted bagel. Extremely slow service! The owner was taking orders out to a car, thenbag in to assist with making bagels, with his gloves still on. He used a pen to take an order, used the cash register then backto the bagels without ever changing his gloves. The owner is assisting in taking orders, making bagels and working theregister, while there is also an extremely kind lady also making sandwiches. Owner very unfriendly. Bagel recipe from previous owner Victor is good but new owner argues and argues. No decaf. Charges 99c... extra for butter if you want it on your bagel and cream cheese!... Dirty...touching money and then bagels and breads withoutwashing. I walked out last time when he answered my question with a rude question. It's a German service. Definitely not anAmerican service. People go back because it's the only bagel store in Esco. That's all...and reluctantly...willing to deal withthe rudeness. Employees fed up. Read more
