Not living in Erie anymore it was good to go to a familiar place got some great stromboli and pepperoni balls
Stopped in Stanganelli's to finally see what the hype was all about with the pepperoni balls. The fluffy dough from the pastry... and the bite of the pepperoni filling are a perfect balance of texture and flavor and compliment each other well. Also tried ameatball from here and let me tell you, these meatballs are fantastic! The worker was friendly and knowledgeable. By the time Ileft, I had a full bag of Manicotti, pierogi's, a jar of Sicilian sauce, some mozerella, meatballs, and of course some morepepperoni balls. After one visit, I am absolutely hooked! I just stopped in today after living in Erie my whole life and having no idea the place existed. I got a pint of Italian wedding... soup and a pepperoni ball which was lunch for me and was so excited about my total for lunch being under $5. I was so happywhen I got home and got to try the food as it was just delicious. I am upset I didn't know about it sooner but happy I knowabout it now! I will definitely be back!
