Though the host was gracious, polite and accommodating the other staff whisked plates away faster than we put them down ????...... Everyone in every review did mention the biggest attraction: huge variety of not only traditional Asian cuisine, but sushi anda hibachi as well! No one is wrong about that- HOWEVER nothing tasted quite right ???? some food tasted like someone usedessence of LAVA and some like there was lemon cleaner in it- everything is in a warm water bath rather than it's EXPECTEDgravy/sauce. "Fried" food was soggy; "Fresh" food tasted frozen, cooked, refrozen and then reheated; fruit even tastedoff. Maybe I'm biased- I have two favorite places in town, but I also do a decent amount of traveling so I know what good foodis. Two of three of us have upset bellies, all don't feel so good. This place is honestly beautiful. It looks way better than Old Country Buffet did, even when brand new. The food is your classic... Chinese buffet PLUS a ton more. They have a made to order stir-fry station made by their chefs and a sushi bar. The price wasunbelievable. Their lunch buffet (11a-4p) was only 5.99!!! I'm so excited this place is here. Having a Chinese buffet in Erie, PA is quite the challenge due to all of the competition. This establishment did a fine job at... meeting the challenge and exceeding my expectations. My family dined at this location for mother's day and had an excellentexperience. The food was flavorful and the variety was fantastic. The fact that they had so much sea food was also a delightfulsurprise. They had squid, clams, endless shrimp options, crab, and lobster and everything was flavored and cooked to perfection.The steak was also excellent. The sushi options were delicious as well. Aside from the food, the overall atomsphere wasextremely inviting and comfortable. There were a lot of people dining in, but never did I feel cramped or uncomfortable. Thenewly designed buffet layout was a surprise. Anyone who had dinner in the old country buffet can admit the layout was a bitwasteful on space. The design now takes full advantage of the area, encompassing the sweets and treats within the main dishes. Iliked that they reused the drink stand locations, but equally like that they closed it off so it's not an eyesore. Overall thisplace is great. Awful service, never got a refill on drinks our entire visit. The food was not very good and selection was limited. They never... refilled the sushi so once they were out we were out of luck. There was an entire pod empty and the pod that was supposed to becold seemed to hold items at room temp. Only ice cream available was strawberry or lime sherbet. Oh and they tried to charge usan increased price because we paid by credit card! Read more
