Had a coupon that I won for a free pizza so decided to check the place out and it was pk. Staff was friendly, food was made... quickly and got served quickly, place clean. However I'm not very much of a thin crust pizza person so the pizza just didn'ttaste great to me. Not everything is everyone still worth a try if you like thin crust though. Read more
I just bought 2 pizzas one pepperoni and one pep with sausage and all I can say is I do not recommend if your looking for your... classic cheesey thick pizza. tasted like glorified frozen pizza...they cut it party style instead of normal pizza slices and itwas so thin that the pizza went cold before I even finished my plate so within a few minutes. Terribly disappointed only reasonwhy I gave 2 stars is because the seasonings and the sausages were good and the service was good. Ordered for take out. Ordered a supreme. It took 45+ min to get order. Crust is thin. I am not a fan. And they cut pizza... party style. Maybe this is what took pizza so long to make. The extra cuts. While we were sitting and waiting.... Somecustomers had called in and placed their order. Another person had placed his online. Same thing......late with order. Allpeople were told it'll be another 10-15 min. One guy said perfect, I'll be back in 15. He left and returned only to be toldanother 5-10 min. Another guy who placed order online came to pick up and was told another 15 min. We talked to him and hesaid that he only has 15 min till his lunch is over and he has to get back to work. The staff were super nice and accommodating. Food was delicious as always. Nice and clean dine in experience. However, I was... extremely disappointed by the wings I ordered. 6 wings for $8 and all 6 could literally fit in the palm of my hand. I reallyhope this was a fluke because we really enjoy it here. Our family lives in Erie and got takeout here a few months ago. (They eat here very often) We loved it so much we decided to... stop in on our way home after a visit with them this past Saturday. (11-13-21) The employees were nice and friendly. The shopwas not busy so our food was made quickly. We stopped in the wonderful bookstore next door while waiting. My husband loved hispizza. Mine was very good, but I was not crazy about the crust. It was fine because I took a chance on a vegan pie with Greektoppings. The rest of the pizza was absolutely delicious, but I will order a regular crust next time. It was just aconsistency/texture thing. We will definitely be back to try more items on the menu. That was our first visit to Donatos. Before that, we had never heard of this pizza franchise. My wife can only eat gluten free... crusts and they have as an option for only a few sizes. We really liked the flavor and the crunchiness. It?s not taking fivestars because we ordered a pie without mushrooms and when we got home, for our surprise, our pizza was filled with mushrooms. The most delicious & unusual offerings. We fell in love with the Hot Chicken Pickle Pizza a few years ago while I accompanied my... husband in Dublin, Ohio, on a business trip. Hands down the best pizza we've ever had! Just recently we were on a business tripin Erie, PA, staying at the Bayfront Marriott. Rather than choosing from a vast array of very popular restaurants surroundingthe hotel, we chose take out from Donatos! I could have ordered online but chose to call to order to make sure I was orderingexactly the pizza we loved. There were several locations in Erie. The closest to the Bayfront hotels was only 2 miles away. Uponcalling, a very cheery sounding guy answered. I told him how psyched I was there was Donato's in Erie & it had been almost twoyears since I had the hot chicken pizza. He was very helpful & confirmed that no changes were made to the hot chicken pizza. Hewas so friendly that he kindly told me he would personally make sure it was extra perfect! FIVE star customer service! Myhusband arrived back at the hotel with the most delicious pizza that was just as perfect as it was two years ago! We live aboutabout 1 &1/2 hours south of Erie. A distance we will gladly be driving very soon to enjoy Donatos offerings! Although we lovethe hot chicken pickle pizza, we just might have to give the other pizza's a chance! Yum! Read more
