I was iffy on ordering a burger there since last time my wife and I went my burger looked like a small hockey puck on a big... bun. Their weekly appetizer house made specials are unique and amazing. This is the second Friday in a row I have met friends there... for drinks and we got the pepperoni balls last week and all I can say is they are the best in town. Erie Brewing includes the Birchwood Inn. Erie is beer, Beechwood Inn is Food. They have a bizarre procedure for food. You check... in with a hostess to be seated. We had a 20 min wait even though the place was 75%empty so I guess they have a kitchen staffshortage. Once seated a waitress takes drink orders, an Erie transaction with a separate check. For food, you go to a window toorder and pay then return to your table. A pager tells you when to go back and pick up your food. Then go to a separate stationfor utensils and condiments. Interestingly, the person taking the food order expected a tip even though she never left theregister! The food was OK. Nothing special. The atmosphere was OK. Lots of merchandise for sale. And everything was touristpricey. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back. The staff trolling for tips was really poor form. Oh, pay attention to the menu.Very poorly written.
