We had an experience today. I don't eat fish I always order the #14, the shrimp. My husband ordered the #19 two fish and two... shrimp. I had a small drink and my husband wanted a water. She said $27.70. Because I had given her a $20, I had to give heranother $20. She gave me my change, I asked for my receipt as I keep receipts. She said she would bring it with my meal, so Isaid fine. She brought me a 4 piece fish, that wasn't my order. So she took the orders back, recooked everything. It tookawhile. Then we got our order, but there was no receipt. I got too adding up what I paid, I went up to her after and she saidyou paid $26.70, I said no I paid $27.70. she said no you paid $26.70 and I have over charged you $1.00 I will give you a dollarout of the tip jar then we will be even, because she rang me up for the four piece fish. I get to the car and pull out my changepurse, I have a $10 Bill and 2- $1 bills. She didn't want to give me my receipt because she overcharged me verbally $1. This was my first and last visit to Sam?s. I ordered through drive thru around 6 pm on a Saturday evening. I was the only person... at the drive thru, I waited a few minutes ( 5 or so) for someone to take my order which consisted of 2 fried shrimp po boyswith fries. Pulled up to the window and I paid?. I then waited approximately 35-40 minutes before I got my order. She handed itto me, no apology for wait time but did tell me food was hot off the grill. I live approximately 10 minutes from there. Food wasbarely luke warm; there were 2 shrimp on each half of sandwich. One of the halves only had one shrimp on it. Lots of lettuce andbig slices of tomato. Fries were so so? Short and sweet: Kind service. Pretty good tasting food for the genre, but this particular location is FILTHY. Detailed... experience: Visible black trails of grime on the floors. I had to peel my sandals off the carpet with every step and they slidon the greasy tile, especially in the bathroom. My hands stuck to the chairs and came away tacky and grimy. Customers wipedtheir own tables with napkins before sitting down. The staff were friendly and obviously working short (story of the world rightnow). The digital display menu was wrong. Well there's no way to sugarcoat this review, I have never had to throw good food away especially seafood or Cajun. I was in... town in Enid Oklahoma for business. Some of y'all know I am the Hotshot Trucking extraordinaire and I travel all across theregion, several States and Texas. I like to reward myself what a hotel and a nice meal, sample the local fare, doordash or UberEats. On this particular day there was a lot of selection here in Enid Oklahoma, just your Nationals franchises. I saw they hada Sam's Southern Eatery and gumbo new fried oysters said it's really good. Wrong. I wanted a good selection it was very pleasedwhen I first opened the tray, I was so excited and hungry. I grabbed one of the fried Oysters and had to spit it out. Mushy,so I tried another, it was dried up inside and black splotches. Really gross, and has me worried that I am going to get foodpoisoning, yikes. So I thought, at least I have the Gumbo, wrong, it was not hot, gritty and slimy. I love Gumbo and thiswas the first time I ever threw the whole $8.99 + tax and delivery charges, tips. This is a real shame and waste of money. Thefried fish was good, red beans and rice decent. Needed some hit sauce. I keep thinking to myself, dude, you should have knownbetter than to order seafood and oysters in Enid Oklahoma of all places. I'm not slamming the Enid, my wife was born here. This was a fantastic experience! We ordered the #2 burger ???? basket. These burgers were made with fresh hand packed meat! ... They were absolutely huge! We will definitely go there again! Sorry the pictures are sideways. The prices are reasonable forthe amount of food given. Read more
