A great local find with delicious food and great service. This local diner is tucked away but well worth checking out. It's... small town charming atmosphere and friendly staff made for a great first experience. I got the philly cheesesteak with onionrings, and it was quite delicious! Update 8/21/22 Brought my dad and brother-in-law in here for breakfast and it hit the spot!Fairly priced, good food. And a good sausage gravy! The only comment is I personally would have preferred sautéed veggies inmy breakfast burrito vs raw, but it still hit the spot! Read more
We are visiting the area from Tucson, Arizona. The quality of the food absolutely blew us away here. This was a true 5 star... experience. Very nice restaurant, very clean. I was scrolling down restaurants near me on google maps and boom ???? a hidden gem ???? popped up!!! Went in for lunch and was... greeted at the ???? with a pleasant smile ????? Our server was super friendly and attentive? The food was fresh and delicious???? and we will be returning? Google maps and reviews help us pick and choose good places to eat when we are out in unfamiliar territory. We decided to check... this nice little diner out and we enjoyed a late lunch. A cozy enough diner-style restaurant. Very attentive and hospitable service. Too bad the food didn't live up to the service and... atmosphere. The steak fries were fresh and well-seasoned. But that's where the unqualified compliments end. The corned beef inthe Reuben was dry and so underseasoned, it was almost unrecognizable as corned beef. The sauerkraut tasted old (mustyaftertaste). The dressing ? which didn't taste much like the traditional Thousand Island ? was thin; brought no flavor. I wouldnot order it again. The classic cheeseburger on pretzel bun was good, despite the bun being undressed and the hamburger pattybeing mass-produced & cooked-from-frozen. Also, the cold, unmelted cheese on top didn't recommend itself. The fried buffalochicken sandwich was also made with a mass-produced breaded chicken breast. When the sandwich first came out, the piece ofchicken didn't even fill the (also undressed) bun. It was basically a chicken tender. To the kitchen's credit, after it was sentback, it returned with a much more price-appropriate piece of chicken. No dessert was ordered. Read more
