Reviews for The Crab House in Englewood, CO
Waited over 45mins to pick up an order that was sent in 20 mins before I arrived. The clueless guy at the counter had no idea an... order was sent in and had not sent it over to the kitchen till I walked in and asked for it. What is the point of takingdelivery and to go orders if you don\'t even know someone has ordered?? This is ridiculous and totally unacceptable I will notbe coming back. I left without the food. I am not the only one here waiting for a long time for a to go order. This place is ajoke. If you can\'t handle it, stop doing it!! It is not fair to your customers!!! Read more
My girlfriend and I went here and I ordered the boiled Cajun special, it had good seasoning but they overcooked the crawfish... (has a grainy texture when overcooked) and gave me the tiniest little pieces of sausage and corn for the price I was paying. Iwould think that their boiled seafood would be awesome considering that\'s what the resteraunt it marketed for. My girlfriendordered fried catfish and it was tasty (not hard to fry fish). This place is not bad but not great. Also only have bottled beerif that bugs you Read more
The sea boil is delicious! There shrimp taste amazing! Every time where out in Denver we visit this place.
I\'ve lived in New Orleans for 20 years. This seafood is seasoned differently... Weirdly. From all the great reviews Denver must... just not know any better. Service was excellent. Don\'t get the shrimp corn bisque that tastes weird and no shrimp in it? Read more
I’m from south Louisiana, & trust me when I say this is the very first place I’ve had in my 3 years living in Denver that... tastes like AUTHENTIC Cajun food. Their seafood platter is great! My one piece of advice is that they offer the boiled potatoes, corn, & hush puppies as possible sides for the fried platters too (not just the boiled platters). Us Cajuns especially like hushpuppies with our seafood platters! ???? And they were sadly out of oyster today, but gave me extra catfish & shrimp instead, which was great. The shrimp was SO big & pre-peeled, some of the biggest fried shrimp I’ve ever seen (& seasoned just like thefood I miss from home) - you really get your moneys worth! I will definitely be back here very soon to hopefully try the friedoyster. The Crab House is Cajun-approved! ?????? Read more
Service was pretty decent considering we were a party of 9, so I know that can’t be easy to manage a large group. portion... sizes were generous for the cost & food was excellent. A little too salty for my liking, but still above par. Wings were cookedwith a ton of flavor, lobster bisque was drool worthy good. And Crawfish season has officially began & they were massive.Impressed by how much shrimp there was - usually when you get the boil anywhere else it’s always an overload on potatoes cornand sausage, quite the opposite here. They focused on the actual seafood. Anywhere else, I would’ve racked a huge tab but theprices were surprisingly low. Will definitely return Read more
At 2:30pm on a Saturday afternoon it was dead, and the service was spotty. However, the headless shrimp boil I ordered was quite... tasty and the shrimp were very large. I had a choice of flavoring for my boil: Cajun, garlic butter, Old Bay, lemon pepper, orall-in-one. I chose the all-in-one and thought it was a good blend.\n\nSteve ordered a fried shrimp basket. The breading wasnice and light -- almost the consistency of a flaky coconut shrimp, without the sweet coconut parts. The cup of New Englandclam chowder was just so-so. Read more
A casual eatery for sit down or take out; we also had a eal deliveredvia doordash. Crab boil is AMAZING, best crab legs I\'ve... had in a while! Lobster bisque is pretty good, very thick and creamy. Crab cakes (pictured) weren\'t bad but have a distinctonion taste to them which I am not a fan of, but I know others may enjoy. My husband had the shrimp basket and was pleased, itwas a good size and worth the price. Read more
