What a wonderful dining experience I had here. Very traditional Japanese dishes and flavors. I really enjoy the grilled dishes... and the onigiri. Talk about the Japanese izakaya gem of the valley. The location is subtly tucked away in Ventura Blvd but it should have its own... star on the Hollywood walk of Fame. I have to say I was impressed. This is a gem of a restaurant. It is very authentic. The food was just like what you get in... Tokyo. The tempura was excellent, especially the shrimp, which was really fresh. My favorite was the sauted Eggplant dish.Really tasty. The onigiri was also good. We had both the salmon and the spicy shrimp onigiri. Lastly the kara age (friedchicken) was as good as any I've had in Japan. Do yourself a favor and try this place. Be aware, they don't serve sushi. If youare looking for a real taste of Japan, this is it FYI, There is an underground parking lot. Read more
