The croissants were pretty tasteless... We had the chocolate croissant and almond and I was amazed at how bad they were... Maybe... they make them with oil instead of butter but they just weren't very good. We didn't finish them, and I have a huge sweettooth. The pretzel also wasn't that great. Maybe would have been better if we had heated it up? We also got a loaf of sourdoughthat tasted day old. We were so disappointed. We had to toast it the same day after buying for it to be edible. LOVE their sandwiches and cookies. The sandwiches were delicious, full of fresh ingredients, and they are ready to go. The... cookies were so flavorful and satisfying. Keep in mind that these are healthier cookies. Not everyone will love them, but Ithink they are outstanding. Everything looks so good, I can't wait to try more. I love going to Prager Bros to get pastries! They are located in a busy area in Encinitas so parking can be difficult. There is... no seating at the bakery. We got there at around 8:15 am on a Friday and the bakery case was not fully stocked. We were hopingto get a ham & cheese croissant but we were told those come from the Carlsbad store and are usually in Encinitas 30-45 minutesafter opening. The woman behind the counter says they sell out quickly so you can order them ahead and they will set them asidefor you. We got a croissant breakfast sandwich with egg, onion jam, and some greens. It was really tasty because the egg hadsome mushrooms mixed in. I would highly recommend the breakfast sandwich. Since the bakery case wasn't totally full, we didn'tget to try any of the seasonal items but we got a chocolate croissant and almond croissant. Both were delicious!
