OK. Good options for gluten-free. Decent pizza, expensive though. No ranch - which is weird, very opposed to ranch here. I... would bring my own next time in a bag. Wine is OK. I don?t know. I think there are better options for pizza locally at betterprices and quality. Read more

Stepped in after passing by on my way to somewhere else, the delicious aroma drew me to come in. Glad I did. All I can say is,... the pizza was on par with some of my favorites from NYC. The salad was also super fresh and full of good flavor. The shrimpcocktail was also super fresh and well seasoned. Plus the staff was super friendly and the wine selection was divine. One of the best hole in the wall pizza restaurants I have ever been to! The staff and chef were friendly, the pizza was good and... filling, and the environment was great! A beautiful day to have a nice lunch at the Coast. Happens to be at the Corner Pizza in Beach town Encinitas, CA, right off of... Hwy 101. Menu was simple, the storefront was simple & clean. Staff was friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable aboutsuggestions as I was inquiring about the menu selections. We had the Mushroom Queen large pizza and a Padrino salad. We satoutside at the patio and the food arrived in 17 mins. We ordered the pizza - extra crispy, and my husband sent it back to crispup a bit more. Pizza - 12" was OK but over- topped with arugula greens ( why so much?) I added sausage to the toppings (paidextra) and It was obvious that they are cutting food cost with very sparse toppings, covered with the arugula greens so youwon't notice? Crust was better after we had it re- toasted. The salad was over dressed with red wine vinegrette, actuallypooled in bottom of the bowl. The greens was a good variety - chopped radicchio, romaine, cabbage, etc, a few pieces of minimozzarella balls & salami bits. I got used to the sourness of the vinegrette after a minute as we were hungry. We spent $55 (incl 20% tip). Not impressed by the food, staff was efficient; suggestions to management - improve the quality of the pizza,the price point is ok as long as the pizza is well dressed. Review your salad builds - specially the dressing. A few moregreenery & plants around your patio would make it more landscaped & welcoming. We will stop in again when we're in town. Read more
