Reviews for Empire Village Inn in Empire, MI
We stopped in for a bite Friday night on a weekend getaway. The Inn was a nice cozy spot that we could tell locals enjoyed... judging by the interaction between the owners and customers and amongst customers too. We had a pizza which was great and amlooking forward to eating the leftovers! I also tried the Kimchi Patty Melt that was delicious. They had a good beer selectiontoo. The Inn will be a good choice when we are in the area. Read more
Pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and delicious food. We expected average bar food but we?re impressed with the menu... choices. I got a veggie burger that tasted as if it were home made. The toppings were very fresh and plentiful too. I ordered aGrand Rabbits Cream ale with the help from our server who took the time to figure out what types of beer I liked. All this afterwe walked in 40 min before closing time. We knew we would be in and out before they closed but they had no way of knowing that.We never got one single dirty look or felt rushed. This is the exception, not the rule in many restaurants when you go in laterin the day. The atmosphere was kinda retro pizza joint. Loved everything about this restaurant and we will make sure we visiteach time we are in the area. Read more
The food was exquisite everything had amazing overall flavor and amount so with this meal you get an overall quality and... quantity. I highly recommend the Aloha Pizza because there are a lot of flavors in the pie that work together so well. Theservice was great and the employees were very nice. Highly recommend if you are in the area to come to this restaurant and eatthis food. YUMMY! Nothing negative at all. Read more
The food and service was amazing. We split the drumsticks and a Mr. Meaty pizza and one of my kids had a Plain Jane Grilled... Cheese. Everyone loved their meal and wanted to go back the next day. There is more depth and twist to the variety and flavorson the menu than you might think at first glance. Everyone was super friendly and patient as we decided what to order. Read more
We had a great time. Great food, wide selection of local brews, excellent (eccentric) playlist. Only complaints are that the... fried pickles, while still very good, were insanely salty and a tad bit overdone, and I would not recommend dining in if you arein a hurry. That's not our northern way. We had a pizza, garlic fries, BLT, a burger, breadsticks, onion rings, and a blue gillsandwich at our table. Everyone raved and ate too much. Read more
This place sure have tasty pizza and wonderful salads. I guess they have really good Sammies too - I plan to get one the next... time I am in. We had the hippy salad - super fresh and tasty - The pears were perfect and the goat cheese accented everythingbeautifully. Read more
This was one of the highlights of our trip to Empire! The drumsticks were a shock! I don't ever want a chicken wing again after... having those! The pizza had the best garlic butter crust I have ever had! They were so busy with takeout orders and I canunderstand why! Our server was prompt and so friendly! This is a great local place to visit and the prices were also soreasonable. I need to mention too that they have gluten free bread and crust available! Read more
This used to be my favorite spot to go to when we were up by the dunes and it's still good, but not worth going a long way out... of your way for. So disappointed, they completely changed their menu as of Memorial Day weekend, 2022. I get it, there aresupply chain issues that forced them to have to do this so I'm not criticizing their management or anything. They had this onewhite pizza with bacon and chicken and I can't remember what else but they took it off the menu. They don't stock all the stuffit takes to make it anymore so they can't even just throw it together for you. They also used to have really good Brusselssprouts but they had to take those off the menu. The staff here is so nice, and it's still the perfect place to get somethingto eat after you hike the dunes if you're right there (it's literally at the entrance to the lakeshore). Empire is a cool littletown. If you're in the area I definitely recommend going, but unfortunately I don't think I'm going to drive 45 minutes out ofthe way to get there any more like I've done in the past. Still, really good pizza though. Read more
