The Prospector is a great little place with a restaurant, coffee shop and gift shop, and casino on the premises. The room was... clean and quiet and they make you feel really welcome at check in. I was impressed by our stay. The hotel rooms are non smokingonly, thankfully but they do allow pets. There's an exercise room and a good sized indoor pool. There's a bar and lounge area aswell. The only downside is that smoking is still allowed in casinos and it's hard to get away from. Read more
It wasn't very kept up as far as the rooms, but not much to choose from on a pit stop to Vegas. Everything was just plain worn... out. Bathroom door had to be lifted to open it, even. There was a plunger next to the toilet, gross. I know the staff workhard but the owners should put some of the money they take into getting things in shape. The price seemed good but once you getthere, it quickly becomes over priced for what you get. Also no elevator so with all our road-trip luggage it was a challenge. It did feel secure and safe, however. I will give it that. Read more
Pretty good spot to stay in Ely. Check in was a little slow. Rooms were basic but clean. Be aware they have pets in some rooms -... and there seemed to be a lot of dogs staying when we were. So if that?s an issue, be sure to ask for a non pet room. Pool areawas small but ok. Mexican restaurant in the casino was fast and tasty. Read more
Like a museum! Super friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. It is the most pet friendly place I've ever encountered, I... saw people sitting at slot machines with their dogs it was so cute! I will definitely go back with my dog! Cool gift shop butnot your standard souvenirs all handmade Indian jewelry and other things pretty fascinating. Read more
The rooms are nice and clean. This place is very quiet and allows pets. The Mexican restaurant is delicious. There is an awesome... gift shop with all kinds of memorabilia and they now have a cute boutique coffee shop in the lobby! We only stay here whilevisiting Ely! Read more
This is the first time I have stayed here and I am glad I did. I stay in hotels a few nights a week, every week for work and... it's always refreshing when you find a place like this. The employee that checked me in was very nice and friendly. They giveyou a coupon for a free drink in the bar, a free gift coupon in the gift shop, and a rewards card (stay 4 nights, get 1 free).They have a mexican/American restaurant, coffee shop, and small Casino on site. The room looked like it had been recentlyremodeled and was very comfortable. The mattress was absolutely perfect for my preference (very soft). The room had a largerthan average TV, mini fridge, microwave, and small safe. The Air conditioning worked well and kept the room icy cold. The showerhad good water pressure and plenty of hot water. They have a bottle of white and red wine in the room ($25). Overall, I had agood experience and will definitely stay here again when I'm in the area. Read more
Best hotel in town. Room came with two free drink and a free small gift at the gift shop. Free daily popcorn as well. The... restaurant is a nice place to dine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Close the the Nevada Northern Railway and only and hourfrom the Lehman Caves / Great Basin. Read more
