Based on other reviews I went to try this place out and was happy to find it offers great food at a very reasonable price. I had... the Pollo a la Cazuela and it was a really generous portion tasting pretty good. A lot of meat and mushrooms! Also had a dinnersalad on the side which was obviously freshly made and for desert had the fried ice cream which I found a real treat. The placehas a quiet atmosphere with some appropriate background music, the tables were clean were cleaned as soon as the guests lefttheir tables. The waitress was friendly and served my order in a timely manner. If I ever come back to Ely I will certainly beback here for more good food. I recommend you try it yourself! Read more

Really good! The cabbage thing they bring with the salsa and chips is one of my favorite things! The rice was also very good... and we had the lemon ???? berry cake ???? for dessert first and I am so glad that they had non-chocolate options. Waited wasawesome and atmosphere was cozy. Ty! Read more

My husband and I always eat here when we are passing through Ely. It?s always our favorite. Last night the waitress was so... unfriendly and super unwelcoming. She had an attitude from the beginning. She grabbed the menus from me when she collectedthem, barely checked on us and made us feel like she was seriously put out for having to even deal with us. Keep in mind wewere going out of our way to be friendly with her thinking she was just having a bad day. The other workers were super nice butunfortunately we won?t be going back. First time having negative experience in Ely. It?s usually a great warm experiencewherever we have gone. The manager should really address the waitress I see she had other complaints on here. We were sat at a dirty table that needed to be wiped down. The floor all around the restaurant has not swept in a while. In fact... I had to move food away from under the table to sit down. There was only four tables occupied but we had to wait a while for theserver to show up.The waitress had attitude from the start. I order a cocktail, one that I ordered before but it was watereddown. The waitress said that's how we have always made it. Not true, we have ordered that drink before. When the waitressbrought the bill she slaped it down and walked away. Good tasting food but the portions have gotten smaller. We have eaten heremany times before but they can't get their act together lately. Next time we're ordering it to go. Read more
The food was rather subpar for alleged Mexican food. Everything was very bland. The waitresses were very polite and attentive.... At the register, we were told numerous times that our credit card was being declined. We tried several cards and were being toldit was our cards that were no good. Finally the owner came over and tried to run our 3 different cards. He too said it was ourcards which we knew better. We told him it was his machine that was faulty. After seemingly not believing it, the owner used oneof his personal credit cards and guess what, it too declined. Imagine that! He eventually apologized and wanted to write ourcredit card number down to charge later when his machine was operable. WTH? With this experience at this restaurant, I would notrecommend this place to anyone, especially if you are not a local. Read more
