We wanted our friend from out of town to have a classic Chicago-style Italian restaurant experience. Donnie G's delivered. The... food was excellent, the service was beyond excellent, and the ambiance was perfect. The menu is very thoughtful and informed.For example, the pasticcio has a Greek influence in the spices, which is exactly what you would find in (Southern) Italy. Brought from family here that were visiting from NY and they were very happy and pleased with the meal. Definitely the best... Italian food I have had in the Chicago area. Donny G’s has great prices, and a nice menu to choose from, and excellentservice from the whole staff. I went with the grilled octopus, Shrimp scampi and pappardelle bolognese for dinner.
