During the past weekend, I ordered some raw food products using LakFood web portal. The order placement was not complicated, and... the package was dispatched on Monday. Time taken to ship is reasonable. Last night (Tuesday) I received the shipment deliveredby UPS. To my amazement the packing was excellent! The box carried all necessary instructions and the labelling to avoid damagesthat could happen in transport and to prevent possible spoiling. Having opened the box, I found the entire order nicely packedin a professional manner. Lakfood packing is much better compared to Amazon packing. The food was of excellent quality andfresh. I have ordered groceries online from Lakfood several times. Shipping is so fast. I always receive my packages within 2-3 days.... They have a wide variety of Sri Lankan items including frozen food such as buns, roti, short eats, etc. Fresh vegetables arealso available. They pack everything very safely. Fragile items such as glass bottles are always packed in high quality bubblewraps. They send unexpired fresh items. Once they sent some expired items; however, it was during the worst period of thepandemic. When I contact, they sent me a refund and I was told it happened due to the labor shortage at that time. It neverhappened again and I understood the impact of the pandemic. Lakfood is the best place to buy all Sri Lankan food and otheritems that you are missing while living in the US. Read more
If you?re looking for spices, srilankan frozen food, fresh curry leaves loads of frozen goodies including shorteats, chutneys,... and all sorts of wonders (hopper pans, clay pots etc) this is the place to go! Easy to park and the lady there is so sweet andhelpful. It looks like a warehouse but there is a shop inside so ring the doorbell and prepare to get excited! Read more
