We ate at River Street Tavern while visiting Ellijay. The service was a little slow to get seated on the empty patio, but that... could've been a staffing issue. The patio is dog friendly which was great. Once seated the server was very friendly and goteverything right. Their fried green tomatoes are delicious. I also went out on a limb and tried the wonton burger....it wasAMAZING!! Very messy, but well worth it. So much flavor to it. I would definitely order it again. Read more
My husband and I stopped in for dinner one night. We got mozzarella sticks, a French dip, and wings. Everything came out hot and... tasty. My husbands wings were very meaty and the fries that came with my sandwich were so good and crispy. The French dip wasn'tthe best I've had but it was still very good! Just felt the aujus needed a bit more flavor. It is a very small place and waspacked when we went; we ended up sitting at the bar. They did have an outside area but I did not see it. Stopped here after a day of apple picking. Had to wait a little while to be seated and the wait for our food was a little... extensive. Tried to get figgy with it sandwich. Was not completely thrilled with it but it was okay. Always like to trysomething new. My partner tried the Ruben and loved it. Read more
Great pub style burger and fries. Large selection of bottled (Heineken Lager, Corona, Bud, Stella), cans (PBR, Coors, etc.) and... local draft brews. My hamburger was done exactly as I like them - medium (some pink in the middle) and the fries were great. Ihad a draft, Reformation IPA - Unfiltered American Style IPA and it was very smooth. Great place for a quick burger and beer, very cozy. I have to say, they make a GREAT veggie burger, a lot of places serve them... plain but that's not the case with this place. I had their "potato chips" and they were good, not seasoned very much. Our serverwas very sweet! 4 stars only because the host that initially greeted us was a bit rude. Other than that, great. Was looking for something different and this place fit the bill perfectly! We were seated promptly and our waiter was quick to... get our drinks and take our order. Even though he did kinda over sell the wings when describing their size ! They were exactlywhat I was looking for so that was good! I ordered the mango habanero and they were nice and crisp with just the right amount ofsweet and heat! My wife ordered the spicy chicken and said even if it made her nose run a little bit it was delicious! We alsoordered some fried pickles and even though they were forgotten about until after our food was ready as soon as we asked aboutthem they were quick to bring them. The decor was neat with all the stuff on the wall and the dollar bills stuck to the ceiling!We really enjoyed our trip here and would definitely eat here again if given the chance. Read more
Fantastic place to grab a really amazing bite to eat and a few cold drinks. Service rocked and was super friendly. Food is... amazing not a bad bite, especially the homemade blue cheese dressing. We were very pleased with our food and service. We were seated immediately even though the place was crowded. Our order was... taken quickly and our food was served in 10-15 minutes. Our server kept checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. The wings with Spicy Asian sauce were definitely a hit -- very crispy, which I appreciate. My wife's burger with 4 differentkinds of cheese was a big hit. This is a place that I would definitely dine again. Read more
