Popi and Jennifer's team blew us out of the water. They catered for our wedding at Bakers Ranch. My wife has many allergies and... we knew that finding a caterer will be extremely difficult. Many ?allergen? friendly caterers we engaged with turned us downthe moment we shared our list of allergies but Popi?s did not. She hosted us in their Ellenton restaurant for tasting whereJennifer ensured that all meals they will be serving would be allergen-friendly to my wife. It was great to have someonewilling to go out of their way to listen and hear our needs; Popi and her family did that and more. Not only did they serve usallergen-friendly meals, but they were also very delicious. Popi even came to our table and started coming up with ideas to addto our menu that would work for our allergies. In short, I highly recommend Popi's Place. They catered our dinner and icecream cart for our wedding. Listened to all of our needs, responded to our questions and concerns, and fed our party well. Myonly wish is that our wedding food is also served daily in their restaurants, there have been multiple times that I craved whatthey served at our wedding. Read more
I ordered November 3rd for my birthday the order was $60 and the food was cold by the time I got went and picked it up and... brought it home we live 7 minutes away not what I thought at all and the lady at the register didn't even lift her head up toacknowledge I was standing in front of her to pick up my order. Loved the Popi?s popular breaded chicken breast on top of biscuit but I have to the say the whole dish did not live up to the... expectation and the hype! Decided to try this place after reading great google reviews but was disappointed. What?s with theirhome fries!? It was hard to chew, flavorless and too oily. Gravy felt like it was taken out of the refrigerator and poured ontop of the dish. Oh my my and the price is totally crazy! Read more

Popi's Place has typically been a favorite for my husband and I but I have to say, this time I was extremely disappointed. Today... I was served an omelette that did not match the menu description and that was easily overlooked. But the one thing I'm not ableto overlook is that I received a cup of coffee with a spoon in it. I pulled the spoon out and popped it in my mouth to get thecoffee off of it. When I did, a large piece of food came off of the spoon and into my mouth. It was probably one of the mostdisgusting things I've ever had happen to me in a restaurant. I suppose that it would have been good business to comp a portionof my meal (which would have turned this into a more positive review) but I only got a half hearted apology and a glass ofwater to rinse my mouth. Very disappointing. A management acknowledgement would have also alleviated some of my disappointment. Read more
While the food and service were good, the prices were a little high for what you get. The Greek Salad was very small for $11 and... the ?special? Greek dressing was bland. The atmosphere is typical for a diner type establishment. Read more
**Update** After coming here 2yrs ago (2019) I have to say that the food is still perfectly delicious, our waitress was amazing... while dealing with our party of 12 aside from her other tables, and our experience was as good as it was before. They are veryefficient in the kitchen getting all of our plates out at the same time and it is the best bang for our buck. If you haven'tbeen here you need to go! It might not seem like it from the outside but it is the best mom n pop place there is for a hardybreakfast without breaking your wallet. Read more
