Azalea was accommodating as we returned from our guided float. Even though the restaurant was not open she invited us in and we... got excellent service on the patio. My son can be a little picky (8 year old norm) but Azalea was patient. Thank you for hostingus so well! Read more
23 July 2022 - 5+++ Stars First time here. Came for our anniversary. Very happy with EVERYTHING about our experience. Each... appetizer we got (we got the Bread and the Hush Puppies) would have been good for 3 or 4 people to share. The Ribeye Steak isthe best I have ever had. My wife loved her Dungeness Crab Crusted Halibut. The waitress told us the menu changes daily, and canbe seen on their website around lunchtime. We had 2 desserts. Each was good sized for one person. I enjoyed my Flan and mywife's Blueberry Hill and coconut cake was terrific. Was a great special occasion meal. We also sat outside, on the patiotdeckthat has a retractable roof and sliding side panels. As the sunset set, they opened everything up and it was beautiful. Note:for colder months, they also had heaters on the patio/deck. Read more
Came here for lunch on the deck on a hot summer Sunday. Olivia, our server, was attentive and friendly. Joe somehow knew exactly... what would hit the spot and whipped up some delicious cocktails. The fish and chips was perfectly executed which is imperativefor a "simple" dish. I am thankful I was convinced to leave my house if only to be reminded that this gem exists. Just a note-if there were a couple more "shareables" on the appetizer menu, we would have likely ordered them. :) Read more

This was our first time visiting the canyon river grill. The food was awesome. Every dish was top notch. We had the steak, which... was amazing. The halibut, cooked perfectly and a large portion! And steak salad. Drinks were excellent as well. Not as good wasthe atmosphere. There was a large group a couple of tables away that was very loud. Seemed like everyone was shouting. It was soloud we couldn't carry on a conversation at our table. Part of the joy in eating out with friends is talking to your friends andthat was just not possible till we exited the place. They seemed a little understaffed as well. Our server was very polite andkind but very occupied. It took a bit of persistent effort to get a second glass of wine or dessert. We tried asking thegentleman at the counter for a glass of wine and he said he was busy washing dishes. This could be an awesome place though witha few tweaks. Edit: thank you for your response, however I think you misunderstood my comments. I would never suggest that arestaurant dampens the festive and happy spirit of a large group. They were enjoying themselves with friends which is exactlywhat dinner out should be. When one group is laughing and having a good time it's infectious. The difficulty was the space. Whenone person is loud, everyone has to be louder at their tables to converse. Hopefully the space is architecturally designed toabsorb and soften the sounds making for a cozy atmosphere. While your space is small and cozy, it's all hard surfaces that echoand enhance the sound. Combine that with our old ears and we could not hear each other at all. It literally took three triesjust to see how the couple across the table liked their food. I certainly did not mean to offend but just to provide my honestopinion. Read more
