**IMPORTANT** Saint Augustine steak and shake, what a party! I arrived at dusk to a packed out parking lot (in which they... should expand btw). I ordered at their high quality kiosk which printed my receipt promptly, with no ink on it. Asking themanager, he quickly swapped uniforms into a hard hat, a uniform fit for the job. After retrieving his drill from his inventoryscreen, he opened the hatch and starting going to town (like really going to town). 2 minutes later he comes out covered in ink,but not without first tossing the octopus out. He quickly retreated to the storage room and filled the octopus up with ink ?fromthe back?. He then threw that boy back in and slammed the hatch. I tested the receipt printer, but again it printed with noink!!!! I then turned around and saw the manager, now with shades on, pull out a UV light he called his ?spy pen? and told methat it just prints in invisible ink. It's sad to see a restaurant that was so great, go down so fast. When we entered your restaurant, we were not greeted at all &... we did not realize we had to place our order on a kiosk, that did not work. I could have drove through to place our order. Ifyou don't want customers in the dining room - just lock the door. After waiting 10 minutes for help, we decided to goelsewhere. Being handicapped, requiring use of a wheelchair, it takes a great deal of effort to enter a restaurant. UntilSteak&Shake improves it's service, we will not return! Sad day! Read more
Automated to the Hilton! No waitress, you have to place your own order, no feeling of belonging there, not personal as steak and... shake "used" to be. The food changed! If you go there and have to place your own order and then be called to the counter to pickit up, you have no service or waitress. Don't leave any tips at the ordering booth. After more than 30 years eating at steak andshake, this was my last visit. I feel very sad for the changes. Read more
My husband and I went to this location to order food. The lady working drive thru was SO DISRESPECTFUL. then I called to ask... for her name so I could speak to a manager and was told he could not give me the girls name which is complete BS, and also wastold that I was not allowed to speak to a manager. Don?t work in customer service industry if you don?t have customer serviceskills. If you hate your job that much find a new job but don?t treat people with such disrespect. I will be calling andspeaking to a manager tomorrow because she had a serious attitude issue and was so disrespectful. It?s not hard to treat peoplewith respect and kindness. It?s so sad people think it?s okay to talk to customers that way. Sorry that your miserable cause youwork at Steak ?n Shake but that?s not my problem. Well, what can I say, the kiosk ordering system has improved the service, and that is saying something. Food was good and hot. ... Shakes were tasty. One issue we all noticed, within about 15 feet from the doorway to the restrooms, there was a distinct urinesmell that got stronger as you got closer. We were definitely put off by this. The food was fine, but I am not leaving a tip for the hostess lol if she was a waitress and did the table service thing... sure,... but I ordered my food from a kiosk, and had to pick my stuff up from the counter and clean everything up when we were done. Somuch for teenagers learning how to work for their tips... so sad to see machines taking jobs away from the kids.... Read more
I was very disappointed with what I received from Steak n Shake. I was highly recommended by a friend to try Steak n Shake. So... being on vacation I choose to try something new. I ordered a single steak burger with cheese combo with regular onion rings anda large root beer also a Frisco melt combo with small cheese fries and a large coca cola. Ordering was easy, the order was ontime, and the driver was professional and nice. What was not exceptible was the straws were missing for the two large drinks, Ihad checked the box in the app for untensils and napkins but they were also missing. The food was also lacking compared to thepictures depicting them. The single steak burger patty was very very thin and tasteless. The onion rings were soft and cold. I asked for no sauce on the Frisco burger which came with sauce anyway. I ordered cheese fries expecting fries coverd withcheese instead I received cold soft fries with a side of cheese in a container. This was not described in the description whenI ordered otherwise I would not have wasted the money. The only thing that was a plus was the large drinks were much largerthan expected. Read more
I went after work, around 10:20, and had the best steak ?n shake experience. I have always loved going to steak ?n shake and... this was the best one yet. I loved the atmosphere. Everyone was having a good time. I will be back. Please bring back thechicken tenders ???? Read more
