While touring St Augustine, our trolley driver recommended lunch at the St Augustine Fish Camp. He didn't have to tell us... twice....Fried Shrimp, Scallops & Oysters for me...Grilled Pork Chop with Bacon Molasses BBQ for Bryan. Our Lovely server, Kim,who was very polite & professional, convinced us to try their wonderful desserts. Blackberry White Chocolate Bread Pudding forme & Gluten Free Chocolate Mousse for Bry. We sat at the bar which had 2 great fast and friendly bartenders. I think the guy's name was Louis, anyway they did an amazing... job. All their recommendations were spot on. The scallops and fried green tomato appetizers were too delicious we forgot totake photos. We also had the shrimp cerviche and calamari both really good. Not to mention the hot sauces they offer if youlike to spice things up. So many other things we wanted to try. So we will definitely go back. Read more
Great vibe, right on the water, with shrimping boats docked all along the edge. The restaurant itself is clean, modern and... bright. The food is spot on, fresh and just delicious. The gator bites are huge and so so good. Best gator I've had on thiscoast of Florida. For lunch I had the Royal Red shrimp appetizer special, it was outstanding. Those shrimp are more like alobster in texture, and the poached preparation made them shine. My husband had the fried Combo of 2, shrimp and clams. The clamstrips he had were large and so flavorful. All the hot sauces at the table were a big hit as well, giving you options to spiceit up how you prefer. Staff was young, attentive and friendly. Wow! I wish we lived closer and could eat there all the time. The food was really good. The clam chowder was so creamy without... being too thick and was seasoned super well. I had the shrimp and grits and it was one of the best I've ever had. The white winesauce on top was addictive, the portion size generous and the grits super creamy. My mom had the crab cakes which were alsoreally tasty and generous with crab but the shrimp and grits were the table favorite . The service was quick (but not rushed)and good. Being that it was my first time in St Augustin and having indulged in multiple restaurants... I'd have to say all around this... place is my favorite. By far, the staff here definitely made the dining experience that much more special. Hats off to AllisonA. for her expedite and friendly service, wit, charm, as well as the fabulous recommendations that were perfect. Food was tastyand atmosphere fun.
