Publix across the street has better subs and prices. The subs here lack flavor or any wow factor. Basically prepackaged sub meat... on bland bread. The customer service isn't even on par with Publix. The owner seems to be on the verge of raging out. Classicsign of rageaholic. Read more

Found this on a google search and decided to try. Food was delicious! We had a Ruben on pumpernickel/rye and a Philly Cheese... Sub. Portions were great ingredients tasted fresh! We definitely will be back when visiting again! Read more
I?ve been vacationing in St. Aug for 20+ years, but hadn?t tried (or even heard of) Old City Subs until today. We decided to... check it out and damn am I impressed! The steak Philly was at least as good as, and arguably better than, any I?ve previouslyeaten. The bread was soft and fresh and the steak was ample and flavorful. Make sure you ask for the datil pepper sauce - it?sawesome. The restaurant was clean, inside and out, and the employees were friendly. The prices are reasonable and the food isprepared quickly. The warm subs are wrapped in foil so they?re still warm when you get home. I?ll definitely be back (maybefor dinner tonight!). Read more

Excellent local sub shop. Hot and cold sub options. Call ahead ordering and to go/eat in options all available. It can get busy... at peak lunch hour, but food is always fresh and worth it. Prices are on par with what a sub shop usually is at, not cheap butnot expensive I'd say it's fair. Interior is simple and has a lot of decorations displaying other local businesses. Staff isalways friendly and welcoming, owner is usually around making sure everything is on point. Definitely my preferred sub shop inthe area. Read more
