Ok now, this is our new shrimp place. We still love Osteens, but I swear the fried shrimp at Moultrie Creek are fantabulous.... They are a breakfast-lunch diner so you gotta have an early dinner, but they are always real good about staying open right tillthree and as long as you?re there by three, delicious shrimp is yours! Wow. It was great. The service was very good very friendly and the food was hot and a goof menu. I enjoyed this breakfast... after, trying to get in other diners around the area which had 30 minutes waiting. And to crowded at the waiting area outside,very hot. First time I sent the food back it was cold. The server did not like this, but I don't like cold food that is meantto be hot. So drive 10 minutes away from the crowd and get a hot breakfast. Perfect diner experience! Great service even on a busy Saturday morning. Eggs were cooked just like we ordered- we had a shrimp... omelette and a Reuben omelette- both delicious! Menu is both traditional and unique. Read more
I'm on a mission to try every breakfast establishment in my new home area, and the Moultrie Creek Diner was on the list.... Happily, we had a wonderful dining experience and will definitely be back. My daughter ordered the chicken and waffles while Iopted for old reliable, ham and eggs, dressed up with a side of grits and rye toast. And coffee. Lots of coffee. Everything wasdelicious! The ham was not sliced from the supermarket deli and full of flavor. Eggs were fluffy and well scrambled. Rye toastcrunchy and tasty. Grits were awesome. I am so sorry I missed out on grits for most of my life, but plan to make up for that inthe future. Waffles were good, fried chicken juicy and delicious. Coffee flowed faster than we could drink it, and was hot andtasty. Strong, like diner coffee should be. It's not all about lattes and Monin syrup shots, you know. Sometimes you just want agood cup of joe, and the diner is where I rely for that experience. They did not disappoint. Prices were reasonable, andservice was phenomenal! Lori was so friendly and accommodating as though we'd been coming there for years. The menu has someinteresting choices including pork roll, and they make their own shrimp salad. We LOVED this diner. The staff greeted us quickly at the door and handled more and more people coming in after us while still... managing to have a good attitude the whole time, and, constant coffee refill checks ?? Our food came out fast and it was hotand INCREDIBLE! The cook there is amazing! Both of our meals were delicious! I had the giant bowl of Shrimp and Grits, and hehad the (also giant) Hangover Omelette Burrito ???? When we come back into town, (Jax isn?t too far away!) we will definitelybe stopping back by to try the other amazing-sounding items on their extensive menu! ???? Read more
