I liked the sauces. Ribs were great. Brisket was pretty good. I didn't care for the burnt ends. I thought they were tough. Beans... were really good. Potato salad and coleslaw were ok. I think porky butts is my favorite still. Read more

I tried to order a pick up on my way home for dinner. After calling in and asking the lady what the best smoked meats were for... the combo that she only gave me 1 suggestion and didn’t listen that I was asking what was the best since I had never beenthere. Pretty disappointed. Pulled pork was luke warm at best and needed more seasoning. Brisket was dry but tasted a little better.... The onion petals were basically flavorless. After being there for over an hour we were never offered refills. The kids mealmacaroni was honestly the best plate we got but the entire meal was overpriced. Came here on a whim after a long afternoon of tubing, and it was not too bad. All the meat was really well cooked and soft and... tender. I got the smoked turkey sandwich with the bun and no tomato. The turkey was really soft and just simply seasoned.Neither salty nor bland even by itself. It went perfectly with that dressing that they had on there. I have no idea what it was,but the combination of it all in the sandwich was really good. My fiance got the big meat special with the smoked pulledchicken. It was a very loaded burger and the grilled onions went well there. He added the spicy barbecue sauce - that sauceactually was a good blend of sweet and spicy and the hint of mango actually came through! My brother actually got two burgers,and finished and liked them both. He got fries for the side. Fiance and I both got side salads and also a big order of a mainsalad. Italian dressing was good for the salad but overall the salad itself was very plain. Iceberg lettuce, cucumbers andcroutons - ready subpar for the cost. I was hoping they would at least have romaine. They also didn't have any vegetable itemson the menu at all, so there was no option to add any vegetable to the salad. Dropped a star for that. People also not at allhappy with the service. Server kept rushing us to make a decision and order, and didn't even let us finish our entire order.Kept prompting and asking if we were done, and warning is that this would be too much food. We typically go to Porky Butts on 156th and Maple but we couldn't order it online today (Sunday, 19June) so we decided to try... Boyd and Charlie's. I got the Brisket meal with macaroni salad and Cole slaw and my wife got the hickory smoked sausage mealwith potato salad, beans and onion pedals and let me tell you we were impressed. The food was amazing, I don't like smokedsausage and I tried a piece of hers and loved it. The BBQ sauces were very well made with great flavor. We may have found a newBBQ joint. Read more
