I wish I could give it 5 stars I know Cracker Barrel is a staple for most people but I just can't. The store was clean so 2... stars for that. The bathrooms were not the greatest seemed like some maintenance needed to take place very soon. We got thereand the wait for our food was over an hour and watching people that got there after us receive their food before we even got ourdrinks was discouraging. Our food must have been forgotten because we had to get the manager's attention to let her know we hadbeen there waiting for over an hour. Finally once they brought the food out, it had been nuked and not good. My daughter had ateone of the tenderes before she found the hair and they were tastless and she said tasted like it was cooked in old oil. Thewaitress just pretty much forgot about us and the cook staff was pretty much running around the front giggling. I'm sure thiswas just a bad night in general but I honestly couldn't believe the bad service and the non seasoned food. Definitely not theCracker barrels I'm used to. The manager did give us a complementary chocolate cola cake for my daughter for our troubles. Read more

We love it, were from Mishawaka and we'll travel to Elkhart just to shop and eat there. Our waitress (Alexis) was really great... too. We definitely ate like kings. Read more

Today was a really unfortunate experience. I get that places are short staffed and I fully sympathize with the headache that can... create for the staff that is there. But today we received better service from a different server than our own. Our server barelyspoke to us. Rarely checked in. After waiting for food for 35 minutes when there were plenty of other tables who were seatedafter us received their meals, we finally were given some food, but no utensils. Our server disappeared again in search ofutensils and the rest of our order. Upon bringing us filthy utensils, she then argued with me and got an attitude when I askedfor the biscuits that came with my meal, the gravy I ordered on the side along with other items that were missing. Finally amanager appeared and began to help, but it was too late. Our food was cold before we finally were given plastic forks. I tipped20%, as per the sympathy I mentioned above but if clean utensils can't be offered without an attitude, I certainly don't wantfood sitting cold on what I can only hope are clean plates. Although we had a party of 7 and arrived at 5p, we were seated immediately. Our waiter was courteous; she double checked to make... sure she got our orders right. And she returned during the meal to see how supper was going. The food was typically deliciousfor Cracker Barrel. Read more

I do a lot of driving around the US for pleasure and some business. I like to eat at places that I'm familiar with about as... often as I check out new restaurants. Now, I like Cracker Barrel. Been hitting them off and on for literally years. Never had abad experience until yesterday. Stopped with my son in law, my daughter and 3 well behaved children from 3 yr. to infant.Plenty of wait staff, and a floor manager (?). We literally sat for at least an hour after we got seated for breakfast. Theorders were not right, the manager was less than responsive and on and on. I realize that it's getting hard to get help thesedays and things have been hosed up since covid, but....it's about time some folks stopped with the excuses, bit the bullet andstarted weeding out people that won't or can't do their job. This was the third Cracker Barrel I stopped at on a trip fromCalifornia to Michigan. I won't go back to this one. Read more
