Reviews for The Waffle Experience in Elk Grove, CA
This place is a hidden gem. We got the Praise the Lard waffle and the Johnny Appleseed for a sweet and savory meal. They were... both amazing. The way they make such a diverse and delicious menu entirely based on waffles is great. Would recommend for anyonewho loves waffles and a good brunch. However, make reservations if possible, as the wait on the weekends can get pretty long atthe brunch and lunch hours. Read more
Very good spot for breakfast small, intimate setting in shopping center so get there fast. The food is unique with waffles made... in different ways for different dishes. Great eggs Benedict and yummy mimosas. Reasonably priced. They even have an oldfashioned breakfast (which is what i had in the pic) for those that don't want an eccentric waffle breakfast. ???????????? Read more
We saw The Waffle Experience from downtown Sacramento showcased on Man vs Food. When we came to Elk Grove to visit family, we... knew we wanted to try this restaurant. It exceeded expectations. The food was delicious. We had the following from the regularmenu: We Found the Beef and Chicken and Waffles. Our daughter ordered one of the day?s specials, Strawberry Fields. We sharedbites with each other because trying to make one decision was so hard. Our server Brandi was kind and efficient. Fabulousservice and food! On 1/1/2022 we returned for our 2nd order (we live out of state). We each tried something different thistime and enjoyed it. We had Benedict Arnold with potatoes, Eggsellent with potatoes, Avocado Toast w/ fruit, and We Lost theBeef with fruit. So glad we ordered here again! Read more
You know it was not a good experience when the waiting time was the ?main? course. 45 minutes for drinks, 1 hour and still... waiting on food. People that came after us were served first, they even finished eating and paid. Inexcusable, unacceptable.Waiters passing by just staring at us. Our first time here and not the best experience. No food is worth that waitingtime. Finally, A waitress was nice enough to bring a cup of fruit for our baby because the waiting time gotridiculous. Hopefully Management reads the feedback! *Update: Food came after 1.5 hours and not even the whole order together.Service is a key component of the experience. The food was ok. The potatoes were the highlight. *Waitress discounted my platebecause it was the one that took LONGER?. Ridiculous. Elk Grove Location. Read more
If you are a foodie this is a must try! I had my eye on this place since moving to Elk Grove. This is not your frozen waffles... out of a box, so be prepared for high end but humble food. Atmosphere and staff are great. Definitely a must try. Read more
First time here. The server was great. I had a waffle sandwich and it was okay. The waffles were hard, and when biting... into the sandwich, everything kept coming out. The potatoes were very good, and the coffee was STRONG. Read more
Just Go! We were intrigued by the photos posted by past customers and decided it was time for a visit. I was pleasantly... surprised to see the Man vs Food logo next to one of the plates and knew immediately that we were in for a treat. I decided onthe Chicken and waffle with Pork Belly Hash with a side of Pork Belly. My wife built her own waffle and ordered 3 scrambledeggs. It?s the day after our visit and we just finished our left overs. Yes, the portions are big. I was gonna scarf it downand feel bloated it was so good, however, I decided 3/4 of the way through that I was gonna set aside ¼ of it for the next day.It was so good! It?s not your typical breaded chicken! It?s truly hand made and you will enjoy every bite. We will be comingback again and again. Read more
Looking for a new local place for brunch, specifically with gluten-free options. They ran out of GF waffles but still dined... there. I?ll just bring that particular GF friend next time! I ordered the pork belly waffle dish and my friend ordered theBenedict Arnold, both delicious. Loved the waffles! Everyone is super nice. Look every restaurant is short-handed so be nice. And tip. Just to clarify as I see other posts?- they don?t take reservations, so first come, first serve. I used to work in arestaurant (but even so, use your common sense), and just because a table is empty, it doesn?t mean it?s available for you. Theymight just have two servers available. Anywho, definitely will come back when I visit so I can try other dishes. Read more
