Use to eat here quite often. Havent been their for a few years. Finally had the opportunity and we were excited as it used to be... really good. Not anymore. Was terrible. First thing the cashier states is that it will be 20 minutes to recieve uour order. Weagreed. Place was a mess. Recieved our order and it was undercooked. Smashburger was not smashed like it used to be. Frues werereally greasy. Several other complained of raw meat. Manager tells cook they are all raw and he needs to cook them longer foreveryone to hear. We didn't both complaining as manager and one other employee were overwhelmed. My husband and I just left smashburger on laguna.Let me just say we were greeted by the nicest staff member named MIA she was so... nice and welcoming with a beautiful smile! How refreshing after a long day at work.She brightened us up! The food was so goodand fresh and the entire staff was so kind! My new neighborhood go to place! Thanks guys! ill be back often! I stopped in at 7:30 on a Thursday at the Elk Grove Ca location, to grab a quick dinner after being out of town all day. I... walked in, was not greeted but was abruptly asked "do you have an online order to pick up?" I replied "No I...." and was cut offwith "We`re only doing online orders, and its a 45 minute wait". So i turned and walked out, went to a close by alternative andwas served within 5 minutes. Now i fully understand and sympathize current staffing issues. However there were no customerseating there and only 3 waiting on orders for pickup. I have experienced extended wait times as well. What angered me was theway I was rudely dismissed and refused service. I am a manager for customer service, all she had to say was " Im sorry we arebacked up with online orders and our current wait time can be 45 minutes or more" That Simple! I would have understood andappreciated her honesty. But No, she was totally unprofessional and a bad representation of your values. I only wish i hadthought to order a soda so Icould have a receipt to use as reference to the incident. I enjoy your food but doubt i will subjectmyself to that attitude, there are too many other eateries that respect their customers. Read more
This place is the worse! I placed an online order and it told me it's going to be a 10 minute wait. When I got there 15 minutes... later, the server told me it's going to be about another 20 minutes. After over an hour since I placed my order, I asked themanager on the status of my order because people that placed their order 30 minutes before me has gotten theirs already. I askedher to see where I was on the screen and she just told me call me when it's out but refused to look at her screen. She told meif I didn't want to wait, I could cancel online and refused to help me. Worst experience ever Read more
We've been in elk grove for 10 years, idk how long this place has been here but I was expecting something totally different, the... smashburger I know is nothing like this place, although the burgers were delicious (after putting them in the airfryer) I stillexpected so much more. They are thick burgers not "smash" burgers, the fries and tots were good as well but, with having to waitso long for our order everything was ice cold by the time we got home. There was 1 family sitting down eating and our order fora family of 5, took 45 minutes to make. Being in the restaurant business for 13+ years, it didn't even take 13 minutes afterordering to get a family of 5 orders out to them in a sit down restaurant... I appreciated the young lady who took our oder andthe person who gave us our food, the cooks need some help. I'd love to know where these burgers came from, the patties weredelicious and I'd love to make them at home. Not driving 10 mins to this restaurant and waiting 45 mins for my oder again. Itwas for my daughter's school fundraiser so that is the only good thing about our order today. Read more
Pretty consistent quality. Nice selection of sides (fries, rosemary fries, haystack onions, Brussels sprouts). No -meat options... available as well as chicken sandwiches n salads. Read more
Hopefully you get the cashier I got because he was super helpful. I let them know that it was our first time there. The food was... really delicious. It was a bit on the salty side on some occasions but overall this place is great. They were out of a fewdifferent patties when I was there unfortunately. I would try ordering ahead online. You should give this place a try. Hopefullythe experience is as good as ours. Read more
My husband and I ate here today. We enjoyed hamburgers here some years ago and since we were back in the Elk Grove area,... thought we would try it out again. We each ordered a single burger and tater tots to share. The wait for our food was toolong for a fast food restaurant, my husband finally had to check on our order. When our hamburgers arrived, they looked alittle pathetic. My husband?s burger was smashed to almost a burnt cheese crust. My bacon cheese burger had a strange tasteand texture, it was also too done on the patty?s crust. The tater tots were a small amount and tasted oily. The food left abad taste in my mouth for awhile after eating. My husband commented, ?It was maybe not the worst burger/experience, but it wasclose.? Not worth the cost or long wait - we won?t be returning. Read more
