Absolutely delicious! We stopped in Sacramento for a night on our long drive to Anaheim and chose Original Pete's for dinner, it... was great!!!! Their BBQ sauce is so tasty, the portions are great, and service was on point. I got one of the salads and it wasbeautifully plated, the lettuce and veggies were all fresh and crunchy and tasty, 10/10! My husband loved the burger he got andit was cooked exactly how he likes. Absolutely the best service. Very friendly on the phone, delivered the order quickly, and the driver was very polite. The new... driver accidentally delivered the order to the wrong hotel at first, but they quickly corrected it and brought us a remake veryquickly. And the food was soooooo good!! Would recommend. When my family wants something close to home with lots of variety, this is our first choice. We love the pasta, the wide... variety of delicious pizzas and their selection of sandwiches. They make very tasty hamburgers and a fantastic Chicken PhillySandwich. The fries that come with the sandwiches are crispy and good. It is hard for me to get past their Buffalo ChickenSalad, though. I absolutely love it! Their knots are a nice treat for an appetizer. Original Pete's was one of the fewrestaurants near Laguna West-Lakeside when we first move to Elk Grove in 2000. Reliable for good food, Pete's is a good choice for undecided eaters. They have a broad range on their menu, and a fair... selection of mainstream beer & drinks. This particular Pete's was not bad, although the service could have been quicker andmore reliable. (Although it was just my wife & I, the server forgot who ordered which drink in less than a minute, and thewaitress did not ask us if we wanted dessert before bringing the check.) The variety of food at Pete's is it's strongest asset. I can get Pizza, the wife can get Salads, the kids can do a burger.... Perfect when everyone is not on the same page in the family. Regarding the food, they are very consistent with quality andflavor. I opt for Pizza everytime I go there.... FYI their ranch dressing is hard to beat ( probably hidden valley packet).Pizza always comes out real hot too. Regarding service, Prepare to wait at Pete's for dinner. That's why I head there forlunch. Louis has helped me several times, always checks in at the right time, drinks stay filled.
