Reviews for Nathan's Chinese Cuisine in Elk Grove, CA
Great quality and quantities. I got the roast duck and mapo tofu. Stuff came out blazing hot and stayed that way until I got... home half an hour later. They double wrapped their tofu too. Great packaging! Read more
our first time coming here and it was amazing and such a great price! So we went back the next day! It was so good we couldn?t... get enough! Definitely our new fav spot! Thank you again!! Read more
My experience wasn?t so great and I just wanted to do the right thing by being frank and honest. Yet I believe everything has to... be done with love. The Owner and I believe it was his wife was really impatient with me, even upon simple requests made.Customer service is not good at all. I had ordered the orange chicken, some parts of it was soggy and not full coated withsauce. Lastly if I were to recommend this place to anyone no. I hope the owners take a deep look in their attitudes/hearts andcustomer service and future of this restaurant. Read more

This place used to be good 5yrs ago. Now it's gone down hill. We got two orders of Ginger beef and one order of Beef with tofu... and the meat was like chewing rubber. It was horrible. It was like the worst cut of meat. We basically had to throw all the meatout. I wonder if they've ever eaten their own food to see how bad it was? I won't be going back. Read more
Nasty , gross lemon chicken. Fake favor, the food sucks. Ordered the wrong dish by accident, wanted to exchange for the correct... dish and the OWNER was rude and made such a big deal about it. I also got sick off the food here. This was my first time hereand I'll never be back. Don't trust this place. SAVE your money Read more
For the price they charge, the portion is very reasonable compare other restaurants in the area. The 2 dish i ordered are very... much Cantonese style. Highly recommended if you're in the area!! Read more
I walked in after I saw several people coming out it with takeout orders, having passed the restaurant monthly for years. This... was my first early evening visit to the post office, so I thought I?d stop in. The restaurant smelled delicious, only one couplewas dining, and when my eyes met the waitresses, she came over. She asked what I wanted, and I asked her what smelled sodelicious. Unfortunately, in time, I practically ran out of the restaurant after several exchanges with her, as it was obviousshe did not want me as a customer! She went to the back as I studied the menu, and I asked the dining couple what was goodthere, and they shared what they had eaten and enjoyed. As the waitress boxed and bagged their leftovers, I waited. When she hadto come back to the register (where I was still waiting) to run the couple?s card, and asked me what I wanted, she told me thatone of the items I chose ?people? don?t like. It was a salted fish with rice dish. I said that I wanted to ?try it, anyway.? Sheresponded, ?no samples.? I said, ?No, I want to order it.? She again repeated that ?people? don?t like it? and more loudly now,?it costs $15.95? following it up with, ?order spareribs, ?people? like that.? This went on and on, as she got progressivelylouder. After a few minutes of this, I left. Some folks do not belong in the ?front office,? and she is definitely one of thesefolks! I had to laugh, because otherwise I would have been hurt. This woman had no idea what I like to eat, making assumptionsabout me by looking at my face. Salted fish, by the way, is a staple of my Caribbean heritage. I never even got to try the foodat Nathan?s Chinese because I was made to feel unwelcome, even for takeout! Ouch! Read more
