This place is a southern BBQ fans dream. Tri-tip sandwich was plentiful and filling. Staff was so attentive and showed old... fashion love for their customers. I am diabetic and had a sugar drop. I barely remember coming to the restaurant. The youngladys (Kayla & Madison) got me lemonade and a cookie right away understanding that I was doing so well. They saved my life andthat generousity for a stranger definately goes a long way. Totally sold on this place. Great food, great people, and a nicecomfy atmosphere to kick back and dine. On this visit we chose 2 Way, Sliders and Brisket sandwich with 50/50 sauce on side. Mac Cheese, Potato salad, Red Beans and... Rice and it all tasted deliciously good! Mac Que's hasn't failed us yet on satisfying our hunger ???? Read more
As far as barbecue goes, this is decent. I moved to Sacramento from Dallas and was hoping to find a good BBQ joint. While this... will do in a pinch, it doesn't taste as good as I had hoped given the reviews. The pork was on the dry side and the ribs had anoff taste to it. The sausage was decent, if a little on the overcooked side. The sauce also had a slightly bitter or burnttaste. I'll give this place another try at a later date, but my first impression wasn't the greatest. Read more
I ordered a combo with 4 meats including a "1/2 chicken" which is on their menu as one of the options. They only gave me a tiny... piece of chicken breast that is falling apart. The dark meat is missing. Even the chicken breast itself is small. This isactually 1/8 chicken instead of 1/2 chicken. This place is a scam and rip-off. Customers, don't be fooled. First time going here but heard were top rated for their BBQ so went there an it was good. Great friendly staff to help you on... the menu items makes suggestions an even lets you try a small sample if ask. I recommend if going for the first time, check outmenu on line before ordering cause it can be hard to decide to add it put as a combo menue.Tap beers or a cold bottle type.Table service, tv playing sports. Great food. Great service. We have ordered from them many, many times. Never had a bad meal. Their bbq is really good.
I tried 5 meats. Sausage (amazing), tritip (good), brisket (dry, overcooked), ribs (fantastic), pulled pork (great), green beans... (delicious), and macaroni (awesome). Overall great dinner for the $. Portion sizes were generous. Next time I go, I will bringmy own sauce. For me, it tasted burnt. Service was friendly and I felt very welcomed.. Ok BBQ with good size portions. Ribs were a dry the brisket was fantastic. Very friendly service.
